    <bump> for freshness and importance

I didn't hear they were asking players to call the help desk to report gold spammers. To me that is insane.

There needs to be an automated way to correlate people's blists with spammers (as with the WoW tool). That way, "x" number people report the spamming and <boom> character deleted.

I would really like to see them banning folks that utilize their gil and leveling services as well. These players are part of the problem as well giving the gil sellers incentive.

Yeah. It's honestly a little ridiculous because they're afraid of the repercussions of giving us a right-click report feature.

As there have also been requests for an "Add to blacklist" option when selecting someone's name from the chat log, we would like to look into addressing this as well; however, this opens up the possibility of accidentally blacklisting people by misclicking etc., so we'd like to take the time to look into this carefully.

In the mean time, we would appreciate it greatly if you could report these violators through the in-game Support Desk feature where they will be handled as soon as possible, as Senior Game Master Jhanaka has mentioned below:

If you should see any of these types of shouters, you are free to place a GM Call through the System Menu. As we do not have an option to directly report these spammers to us, we ask you choose the "Harassment" option in the Support Desk menu.

We ask that you include the name of the shouter along with a sample of what they had said. The GM staff will then receive your call and address the spamming; we will be sending you a message instead of offering a live contact to ensure your game play is not interrupted.

We are looking into methods to directly report them to us without using the Support Desk system, but we ask for you to bear with us until we get the tools developed. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we will continue to work with you to stop this type of violation as quickly as possible.

We will go ahead and leave this thread open as we look forward to hearing more ideas on how to combat this issue. Please note, though, if any posts violate our Term of Service, the post may be removed and action may need to be taken; please keep the replies constructive.

Thank you, again, for your continued support. Good luck and have a fun time!

Not gonna read the 5 paging but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to resume it in 2 lines :

    - Chat in cities is unsable due to /shout gold ads spam. Solutions are easy (limit the number of /shout /yell messages in a timeframe + give people the ability to block the bots in a very quick way)
    - WHy the hell is this taking so long ? I don't want to hear the "oh but we've got to make this feature cross platform so it's not easy". BS, the code is the same, just the way you get to the routine is different, that in itself should not delay the feature availability.

This is very annoying and gets on my nerves right now. Spending 20 seconds to add someone to a block list is not what I call dealing with a good UI.
