EA is ending today... make sure to get your final product codes registered to avoid disruptions.

GameStop Online service is really screwed up. Was afraid my SE account was FUBAR until I finally got in touch with someone who knew WTF was going on.

got 18 digit pre-order code right away when I bought it (online mind you, not in a store, and they have the same email address registerd for their normal site, downloads site, AND Power Rewards--get emails every week trying to get me to buy something). I registered that with SE and then later got my 20 digit early access code from SE and used that... never heard anything from Gamestop about any other product codes or anything... not even today, 2 days after the officially scheduled launch. All I have from them was the 18 digit I got right away when I pre-ordered online.

BUT, I NEED A NEW 20 DIGIT CODE FOR ONGOING ACCESS--SERVICE ENDS IN 1 DAY!

And how do I get that @#$@#$ code? Oh no... they didn't email me that one, can't give it to me either. I have to download and install their 3rd party download/install app and use that service to retrieve my bleeding code.

So, now this thing wants to run every time I start Windows, and it keeps popping up ads above my clock on the task bar, trying to get me to buy and download more games. So, now I have to figure out how to disable that so it doesn't crash FFXIV because of it's annoying popups (I play fullscreen). Think I'm just gonna uninstall the bleeding thing... not gonna need it now I guess... I have the beta client and archived that already with the benchmark app.

OMFG... never buying online from them again. According to GS support, I can't even download the game files to a location of my choice so I can archive them to DVD in case I need to re-install---they just shrug and say you will have to download, install again. Hated to be rude, but I just had to tell them they just lost a long-time online customer because of this crap--and yes, I did use colorful metaphors.

Amazon NEVER pulled this kind of crap on me--buy, get email with code(s) and a download link, done.

Everyone, make sure you don't have just your early access code registered--need your final product code registered so it shows your 30 free days, and not just the last remaining day of early access.
