    Also having this problem - UK, Sky Broadband.

    Really need to get a response from one of the Devs. No point playing just now.

    I'm not sure if this this is a related issue, but during certain boss fights/events I'll have a 15-20 second frame where I can move my character around, but skills are unresponsive, sound cuts out, and spell effects and ground AoEs don't appear. After the 15-20 seconds everything sort of "catches up" and seems to run like normal.

    Only problem is the Ash fight in Haukke Manor HM. That'll have all the above issues and then crash to desktop with a "Unexpected error (2)(17)" message.

    None of the following helped:
    -Updating drivers
    -Replacing 4 GB of RAM with 8 GB of RAM
    -Lowering settings and resolution to the minimum

    I don't appear to have this issue with any of the old content, it only happens during the new hardmode dungeons and Crystal Tower.

    More tech savy people, correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe thats a symptom of packet loss somewhere between your computer and the ff14 servers.

    Thank you for the response. That is something I was considering could be the issue. Is there anything I could do to test or remedy the issue? Would my router cause this?

    Run some tracert or pathpings to the server your client is using. If you see highly erratic response times (or timeouts noted with a *), copy/paste the results into a support ticket with your ISP from their web portal. Might be good to open a ticket with SE as well, forwarding the same details (note posting it here is not requesting support from SE.. this is user to user support--use SE's support portal and open a proper ticket). These kinds of reports provide them with details on your specific route, as well as hints as to where to look for problems.

    And for the love of Pete... people, please top hammering the old eidos.com web server. 184.107.107.176 is NOT what your client is using for the game, and is not the one you need to test against. Get the proper IP by running netstat in a cmd prompt or open resmon from your run/search line after you've logged fully into the game and get the IP being used by ffxiv.exe--the Canada servers start with 199 and the JP ones start with 124.

    Also in the UK on Sky Unlimited broadband (not fiber). Hideous lag spikes, rubber banding like crazy, damage to mobs not registering for a few seconds. Even things like using my chocobo whistle are proving difficult. I have emailed Sky and they have replied saying that there is no fault their end, my line is fully operational and working at max speed. I have no problems anywhere else on the internet, just with this game.

    Been in touch with SE and they are saying that the chances are it's the ISP not prioritising traffic from FFXIV's servers. They said "We will escalate the issue to be looked into and you can post about the issue on the forums"

    Someone mentioned this had happened just after beta for Japanese players but it was fixed very quickly. Hopefully we get the same.

    Same issue here. UK Sky Fiber player. Have had lag since early this week, before that I was almost completely lag free. This really needs top priority as I'm sure for every player posting here there are many others which aren't reporting it. The lag is so bad I can hardly do anything in game.

    Getting this too since 13th/14th January. Sky fiber my provider also but all other mmo's playing without issue.

    UK Sky Broadband user here. Having the same issue as everyone else with all the constant stopping and starting since the 13th. I really hope this gets fixed before next week, else my coil group will be missing a tank when it resets.
