Problems with connection (R0) lag

Well my random freezes mysteriously disappeared after a maintenance, I was forced to play through vpn for a number of weeks, I did not change anything on my end so its very clear it's not my isp.

BUT: now that I'm fixed 3 other fc mates are now experiencing exactly what I had....
They all are in different countries, different isp's (EU, US, CA).

I really think it's time to stop pointing at users isp's and start looking at your end SE.

Exact same problem - Just first started happening after maintenance Thursday evening (HST) on Sargatanas, connecting from Hawaii.
Never had the problem before, played since beta 3. Now I get random 5-10 second lag spikes especially in dungeons such as AK or Ifrit Hard (interrupting eruption is really hard with those spikes...).

i live in indonesia, basically since the major server update i got this lag spikes especially in instances, its super annoying bcos it was fine b4

So much lag right now. Game is pretty much unplayable for me. I wasn't getting lag much when I woke up this morning. (around 8am CST/2pm GMT) Then as more people got on it started lagging more and more. I think I preferred it when they restricted the amount of people getting into the server. At least when I got on then I could actually play.

This is getting horrible. Simply put, every player I see never run normally : they stand somewhere, then goes 10 meters in one second, then stand again, then 10 meters in one second, etc...

This lag is spoiling the game. Fighting, crafting, gathering... anyway, it's ridiculous. I played many MMO, never seen such lag.

Experiencing the same problem as everyone else. Constant lag spikes that make everything freeze for just a moment, then suddenly surge forward a few seconds after. Problem did NOT exist, at all, until after the latest maintenance performed two nights ago.

I'm located in California, US. This definitely isn't a problem with certain ISPs though, since there are various people all across the globe experiencing it. Really hoping it gets fixed before the weekend is over.

Well, I took a decision : from now on, I'll post here everytime I experience unbearable lag. This may be everyday, I don't care. I greatly prefer taking time to post than taking time to try to play an unplayable game.

So today (just now) : impossible to craft. Just impossible. Launching skills, waiting seconds for the result. Sometime waiting tens of seconds... until disconnection. Sometime losing my ingredients due to this, and of course my opportunity to make a HQ. You cannot imagine how frustrating this is overall.

Still considering not paying any subscribtion. I wish to pay each month for that great game (even double the actual fee) for long, I wish to invest much time into it. But for sure, I won't at some point unless this is fixed. I suggest SE to do a miracle before I (and others) find another MMO, maybe not as good, but without lag spikes at peak times (and there are lots of MMO with bearable lag).

I'm in NE Oregon and have the same issue with horrible lag, sometimes I will stand around waiting for the NPC quest giver I need to see show up. I will get up fix a cup of coffee, give the dogs a treat go to the little girls room and maybe when I get back I can finally turn in my quest because now the person has shown up and oooh no wait, there is no quest turn in above their head, ok so sit and wait for another few seconds and yup there it is finally. Turn in quest, lag lag lag, tell myself ok one more before bed, and two hours later (what should have been maybe 15 to 20 minutes) I might be half way through a quest run that should have been very simple. Go to point A talk to so and so then go to point B give them the item that was given to me cheers get reward next quest and off I go. Instead I'm fighting this horrible lag and in Limsa Limnosa if the lag is too bad I fall through the bridges land on top of the water, almost die and have to use my return spell to get back up. >.< My son was laughing at me last night as it happened 4 times while trying to turn in my quest at lvl 15. Nuts just nuts. Oh was playing on a different character.

This is sure sucking for a LOT of people at this point. It all started for me with the first big maintenance that opened the servers up more a few weeks back. In beta and early access I had no problems whatsoever.

Now I can't even go into a dungeon with my healer because of constant rubber banding and lag spikes (not to mention continuous 90000 errors every 20-60 minutes). Add to this absolutely No communication from SE on the topic whatsoever other than a single sticky erroneously blaming ISPs for throttling.

Sadly, I can go play on a Japanese server with no issues at all. I really want to keep playing this game but the daily frustration of lag and disconnects is wearing on me to the point where I may just say "screw it".
