Problems with connection (R0) lag

Been having issues since the update as well. On Adamantoise and Famfrit. Some random 90k errors that happen when running around, not after or during a zone.

Also some random lag spikes that last about 2-3 seconds each. Just enough to make me go nuts as a healer in dungeons. It's a really uneasy feeling watching the tank at full health on a boss, then lag, then see tank at half or less health.

Edit: In Florida with Bright House cable internet.

Same issue on Adamantoise. Cox 65d/19u ISP. Casa Grande, Arizona. Never had the problem before today.

Just did HM Ifrit and it was impossible. Same thing people are describing. My connection is perfect, I'm running around at 60 fps, but it's the rest of the world that just stops for several seconds, and then plays in fast-forward to catch back up. So I was missing interrupts and getting hit by plumes that exploded as fast as they appeared. During the transitions, Ifrit would jump up in the air, then nothing would happen for several seconds, then all three Ifrits would land and instantly charge.

There isn't a thing wrong on my end.


EDIT: Same issue just walking around Thanalan. Everyone else just stops for a few seconds, then fast-forwards.

EDIT 2: Even crafting is becoming unbearable from the lag spikes.

Followup: It's even worse this morning. The game is now unplayable. I can't do any content without people screaming their head off about me standing in everything, which I never see because of the lag.

Can confirm it being much worse today for at least one other person experiencing it. He was able to play a couple of minutes at the time, then freezes and D/C again. Couldn't finish an instance because he wasn't able to be online for enough minutes at a time to kill the boss.

And now it's back again tonight. So no play tonight either. What's the story with this? SE aware of it? Fix? Anything?

Also having problems with lag spikes after the Wednesday maintenance. They're at their worst during peak hours and subside in the off-hours.

ISP is Cox Communications in Phoenix, AZ

Tried all the usual fixes for network issues. Restarted router, cable modem, computer. Other games are fine. Seems to be a traffic or routing issue somewhere between the client and server seeing how other AZ Cox users are reporting the same problem.

I am have the same issue here. I am located in Tucson AZ and since that last update I am now getting a constant lag spike every few seconds.. It lasts for like 1-2 seconds.. then game speeds up to catch up to what was lost during those 2 seconds.. This makes the game unplayable other than crafting classes. I tried to do garuda and could not get out of AOE, even tho on my screen I was.

Please fix this. It is not my connection it is SE's routing.

A LS mate is having this issue as well (from Illinois, isp Comcast). The game is completely unplayable for him. Please SE do something! People can't play (and pay for) the game like this!
