after 3 days of lag free game-play. My lag has returned with a vengeance as of 6pm est on 9/5
I'm going to post the same thing in every thread I see pop up regarding the lag.
Getting r0 every 5-10 seconds EVERYWHERE I go in game. Has been happening since the update/maintenance on Sept 4th when the brought out the 1000MB patch file. Nothing I have tried fixes it. Already spoke to my ISP who assures me they are not blocking or throttling me in any way. We have a 30Mbps download speed connection, with 3-5Mbps Upload speed. Speedtests to multiple different servers around the world have come back normal, and all other games/mmo's connect and function as they should. Only FFXIV seems to be having this receive rate 0 lag issue.
I have tried other servers such as Sargatanas and Tonberry and I still get the same lag. The lag does not improve even if I am in non-traffic areas such as my inn room. I still get the lag.
15-20mins after logging in I often get error 90k.

20 times DCing yesterday... I'm at 10 times today (4 in the last 30 minutes)... major lag spikes...
Tried JP Data Center: No Lag at all.
Fix the NA/EU server!

It seems like every time I use the Duty Finder the rubberbanding begins. It makes it impossible to learn fights like HM Titan when everything stops moving then speeds up into a nuke right on top of your head and you can't avoid it.
PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ASAP.

How can it be the isp, so many ppl from so many countries with so many different isp's sudden get this issue after the update, so all those different isp's in all those different countries suddenly decided all at the same time to start throttling?You wont have to change ISP, becuase the game is new and most ISP's use a sandvine system for automated throttling. the ISP's just need to update the detection ruless.
When you look at the fact there are few who have the ISPs in this thread. while others in the same area as you who are on a different ISP who don't have the problem. It's clear on who is at fault.

And then only cousin this issue in ffxiv? not in any other mmo? Not logical. if you read all the posts from ppl that have investigated this, incl. my self you will see that there is one cimularety for all of us: te0-4-0-3.ccr21.ymq02.atlas.cogentco.com - No response from host
The game in it's current form is still unplayable for me. I lag and drop off at least once every 30 minutes. During that 30 minutes the game freezes up and rubber bands to catch back up. Which precludes going to any dungeons. This began early this week just as it did for all the other folks here. Before that, of course, you couldn't even log on to the game without clicking through the entry screens over and over again until you got lucky. Oh, and let's not leave out the part where I went to register my game and created a new account which I should not have done since it added a second account separate from my early release character. Who is the genius that designed that page, and have they been fired? I opened a ticket for that a week ago, and still there is no response, even though I got a message that said they'd say something in 48 hours.. that was well over a week ago.
Look, this game is a good one and I want to play it, but as far as I'm concerned the free days we should all be given are still clicking from launch to now until this lag crap gets fixed.
I am having similar issues since the patch. Even when fighting a single mob my screen will freeze for 5-20 seconds then everything will catch up. I am unable to progress in the game because of the issues.
