Also started getting lag this evening.
Easy to notice when crafting. More than 10 second lag sometimes, usually around 3-5 sec.

Samme issue here. Send staying at 0 alot, recieve going from 0 to 10000.
People start freezing. When i fight, the damage starts showing, then suddenly a rush of all the hits going at the same time.
Mounting chocobo gets 5 to 15 seconds delay.
Delay while speaking to quest npc's.
Had no issues all through beta phase 2-4 and early access.
This only started this evening.
Connected from Norway.
Tested other online games and no problem there.
- Name of ISP: Canal Digital
- Country of Residence: Norway
- When does the problem occur: Since today arround 16.00 Server time
- Reference number from your ISP, if you raised this matter with them: Raised the matter by asking them to check on ip 184.107.107.176. No referance.
Server; Moogle
unplayable right now. Can't do anything until "fixed". Hope they are working on it
Same thing started happening to me about 24 hours ago. Lag every 30 seconds or so for anywhere from 5-10 seconds. The game eventually rubber bands and catches up, but Ive died more times due to the issue trying to play over the last day then from Beta 4 to yesterday combined. Up until yesterday, I had never experienced any lag at all.
Country: Japan
ISP: Fletts / OCN
English client and I have only played on the Ultros (NA) server.
And if it helps, my wife has been making calls with Skype and Google Talk during times when it occurs, yet she experiences no lag at over the same connection. I would assume that if I was being throttled, her connection and call quality would suffer as well, but it does not.

Character: Tale Spin
World: Gilgamesh
ISP: Time Warner
Country: United States (Idaho)
Occurence: All the time
It seems like every time I use the Duty Finder the rubberbanding begins. It makes it impossible to learn fights like HM Titan when everything stops moving then speeds up into a nuke right on top of your head and you can't avoid it.
PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ASAP.
Not lagging that bad today
I was lucky to avoid all problems from open beta untill today. Today afternoon (30/8 around 13:00 CMT+1) I started to experience huge lag spikes that delay everything for 5-10sec and it's game wide, in all areas and instances. Couple of hours later i started to experience 90k error and for the rest of the day, and night, game is just unplayable.
Server: Cerberus.

most of the lag is NOT a routing issue or latency issue
have a look at my post here i explain it all http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...serious-issues
is just we are bound to a machine, this machine is crowded as hell and can't handle the load.
For example we can play both on the same server but i will be assigned to a crappy overcrowded server, and you will be assigned to a new fresh not crowded one. So not everyone in your server feels the lag.
You can check the server IP by executing windows ->execute -> type cmd.exe -> type netstat /ab
type that while playing and check for ffxiv.exe and look at the IP adress there aresome ip (server machines) that are more crowded than others.
I got this issue today and fixed it with VPN. (Used Spotflux which is free.)
The fact that VPN makes the problem go away is practically proof that this is an ISP throttling issue and not a server issue.
That and the fact that the server works perfectly fine for everyone else of course...
