unable to load the world list

Whenever I log into the game my character does not display and I get "unable to obtain the world list" for the na/eu servers. I have a character already so I shouldn't have to worry about the lockout on character creation. I've checked the forums and see that people had problems with this during the pre-launch event.

However when I look on the 3rd party server status pages it says all north american servers are up.

If they are up why can I not pull the world list and attempt to log in to a server?

If they are down why are there no sticky's about the maintenance? In fact as I see other people on the forums have posted about the issue previously why are there no sticky's at least noting they are aware of this particular problem.

I know that PR is important but I gotta think saying nothing in this case is worse than at least aknowledging you are working on it. I see no mention of you working on this error anywhere. Please at least tell us something.

I got that error about 30 minutes ago; I found that if I just logged back in it would retrieve them. I think the issue is with so many people hammering the log-in servers constantly trying to get onto their servers. When you have 60%-70% of your player-base literally locked out of the game and trying constantly to get in, the log-in is going to get a little laggy.
