Got connection back, and after constantly clicking my character name to log back in for 30 minutes straight, I gave up.

Come on, SE, I'm playing healer (Scholar)! Surely my presence would be a positive contribution to balance out the DD heavy population for the Duty Finder... you can have a cookie if you let me into Balmung...

Or a cuddle... does SE like cuddles?

All day. Have not been able to play my main at all.

It's only a matter of time before the JP players start getting annoyed at this point. They are used to "quieter" servers and the NA/EU players do tend to overuse the /shout chat.

Some people are more patient than others but there will eventually be a time when even those people will lose their patience as well.

If they cannot get things in order by the time the pay period begins, it will not be pretty. Shades of 1.0 anyone? They cannot afford a prolonged battle with the servers.

i came back from work at 5pm, tried to log on at 6pm then got the famous 1017 all the way to 11pm. shit i have lost all my evening. going to bed , rince and repeat

I was on early in the morning without issue about 6am cst. came home for lunch 1017 since, tried for an hour then and since I got home its been another 3 hrs with the same error for both myself and my wife's account.
