    CG Video stuttering

    Hello,

I know it's a rather minor problem, but it kinda bothered me when I started out playing: All the CG Videos stutter horribly on my PC (just graphics, sound is fine). And they are a major point to get you into the game first. I'd like to be able to watch them in the game and not on youtube. And they aren't even dependant on the gaming rig.

    Still, here's my hardware:
    AMD Phenom 4 * 3,4GHz
    GeForce GTX 470
    4 GB RAM
    Harddisk: Samsung HD502HJ

I was guessing it might have to do with my harddisk reading time, but I don't really know.

Anybody got a solution for this?

This could actually be a memory issue. Can i ask what OS you are currently running?

I had this same problem when I was replaying the opening movie earlier today. I've played it before with no framerate issue so this came as somewhat of a surprise.

    My hardware:
AMD Phenom X4 II 3.4 Ghz
    8 Gb ram
    nvidia geforce gtx 450

Very strange indeed, can't say I've experienced this tbh, wish I did because the problem I have is a bit more concerning lol My pc just randomly shuts off for no good reason,no over heating or anything and it's only FF. I left my PC on all night running stress tests and it was still on this morning when I woke up. What settings are you playing on?

Good luck with getting the proper support, even though I can't be of any help :/!

I'm running Win7. Whatever the problem is, it should not happen. Playing a video is not a very hardware-heavy thing.
My settings are nearly all maxed with 1920x1080 but capped at 30 fps (else the game will stutter). I can only aim at 60 FPS by toning them down, but I don't want to right now. For my problem this doesn't have any effect anyway. Videos are videos.

How do you know it's not overheating? When I had overheating problems the PC just shut down to protect the hardware. I only found that out by using a monitoring software to watch the temperature.

I use HWmonitor and realtemp to monitor my system, voltages are great, temps are cool. I've been playing GTA 4 all day with no issue since I couldn't get on, then I manages to get on at 11 only for my PC to shut down 15 minutes in. Now why only FF this is starting to annoy me because it doesn't make any sense!
