Great point. I'm not as in touch with FF as you all but I've noticed this too. Great example of how tailored a game engine can be. If every cutscene *was* high quality and pre-rendered I'd be totally watching it with no arguments. My point was pre-rendered clips do indeed take time and, perhaps, Square would lay off them for a while. Saying it wasn't in their interests was too harsh.
