Some friends who are also legacy either got a PS3 version or bought the PC version again just to have the game in a dvd to not have to download it every time they format.
The PC version was 25€, it's cheap enough to consider re-buying it if you really care so much about the extra items.
The pre-order bonuses aren't meant for us. If you wanted them, you would pre-order the game again.
That's not an argument. Never was. Anyone who pre-ordered the original game got their bonuses from 3 years ago; you don't get any of those perks. What is with you misers?
I can't wait until ARR has been around for a while and people who paid $45 for a broken game can stop asking for everything like they single-handedly saved Square Enix.
The Pre-order bonus items were a reward for pre-ordering 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn', not 'Final Fantasy XIV'.
That is all that needs to be said really...
I am Legacy and i received all the CE extras but not because of the Legacy status. (This did not include the Cait Sith doll and other Pre-order item as i did not pre-order the game this time around) I got the Behemoth Barding, Courel Mount, the hat with horns and the Baby Behemoth minion.
I bought the v1 Collectors edition which entitled me to the new bonus items. so in short you only get the bonus items if you bought a collectors edition, either v1 or 2. legacy already get a nice monthly discount and a free mount, if you didn't buy a collectors edition then its only fair that you don't get all the items.

Because FFXIV is not FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Different game, obviously. Your legacy bonuses and character transfers is SE just being extra nice to the people who stuck with them on a fail product. You know, cause SE had a couple of bad consecutive years. Think of your legacy status as a investor's reward. Nothing more, nothing less. Be happy you don't have to spend 30 bucks and start from level 1.
Bah, entitled people now days, I am legacy and 1.0 CE owner, also on a pension. I wanted the pre-order items, so instead being all entitled I pre-ordered a copy of the PC version of ARR. I also did this at the Australian prices, so stop being so gi'me, gi'me, gi'me and use a tiny bit of that brain you should have in that noggin and do things the right way.
NO! legacy do not deserve to get the pre-order items for ARR, unless you made the effort to actually get a pre-order of the ARR version.
No wonder I hate humans these days, such a sad lot.
No, it's not just you but you're all wrong. As a Legacy player, it seems that we should automatically receive the pre-order bonuses including the Moogle Hat and the Cait Sith pet. Seeing how we already owned the game, it's not possible for us to rebuy it to gain these bonuses as well. After all, Legacy players did preorder the game, just a year or two before everyone else did.
Is it me or does it seem kind of odd that Legacy players were not automatacally given these awards and have no ability to get them?
You COULD have pre-ordered if you really wanted the toys, but like me, you pre-ordered V1 and got the toys from that. I too am a Legacy player and have no problem with not getting the V2 toys, but then I have no such entitlement view as you it seems. I got what I paid for 3 years ago, I could have got these new toys had I wanted them by paying for them as was perfectly reasonable for SE to require.
Your "year or two before" comment is of course idiotic so we'll skip that.
I´m a legacy player too and I really wanted that sweet little cat minion. What did I do to get it, you ask?^^ Surprise! I bought a pre order key ...
