All I want to do is play the game. Increase the friggin number of players allowed in queue, or re-design the joke of a loader.

Instead of keeping you in the character select screen, you are forced back to the Start screen, watch intro..... Click... click, click.. tired of it.

Really, they addressed a couple of the other log-in bugs but they have yet to mention what they're doing about 1017. I'd really like them to at least say they're working on it.

I completely agree, at LEAST tell us your going to do some thing about it!!! goddamnit!! ALL I wanted to do was play and now you wont even tell me when this problem will be relieved?? OH well, I guess I will keep waiting and hoping... PLEASE SE just say you will fix it, I don't care if it takes a week, just say you will fix it and how... *sob* T-T

well back to reading the blogs and hoping to hear some good news. and yes I do know this kind of thing happens at most MMO launches, what irritates me is the lack of communication.

The 1017 error is a bug that makes the queue not work. Thats the problem.

It's not a bug, but an issue regarding players taking advantage of a lack of AFK auto-logout system. Players are staying logged in permanently, and this prevents others from logging in.

I must say, this is really pretty ridiculous. Every other MMO I have ever played at least had the courtesy to put you in a queue with an up-to-date number indicating how many people were ahead of you. At LEAST give us a working queue with a number greater than, what is it, five? That way until you fix the AFK exploit with a simple inactivity timer or autorun detect people can at least be aware of their progress instead of being dumped unceremoniously back to the character screen.

Incidentally, I have been waiting to play for over an hour now. I have precious little free time, and don't feel like starting all over on a new server. Maybe if free transfers were available...

From what I have seen the game is excellent. Too bad I haven't seen much. XD

I would like to have a Queue system that actually works too. I don't plan to sit around on any game (even if it is one of the best I've seen) trying to log in and waste my time. Also, unfortunately, a server transfer wouldn't do much. I'm on Faerie and it's one of the lower populated ones.. I haven't been able to get in at all for the past three hours.

This is absolutely the problem. I even have friends that once they log in they say they are not logging off. They are doing this because the the risks and frustrations so many people experienced during phase 4 and even now. And who can really blame them. After not being able to play for days and attempting to repeatedly log in without success most of us would do the same. By not having an AFK timer Square Enix is allowing a stagnant percent of the population to just accumulate and grow on their servers. Its like algae.
