    To all the white knights

    During B4, we were told that it was beta and we should just suck it up... Despite the fact that there was no communication, and when they finally did implement the fix they didn't bother to test it. The white knights' answer, wait for EA... It will be fixed next week.

    During EA, the same problems from B4 were there in addition to new problems introduced by their supposed fix and by and actual representative stress test. The white knights' answer, it isn't even really launch yet... This is a "gift" (yeah, right). Just wait for launch and everything will be better.

    It is now launch and the problems are still here, and still with no reasonable expectation that they are going to be fixed... The white knights', its launch and all MMOs have launch problems. No one understands what SE is going through (no matter what our backgrounds are), and thus we have no right to judge and we should give them all the benefit of the doubt...

    So the question is, at what point do you become nothing more than an apologist? And how far will it have to go before you can no longer justify it?

    At the end of the day it comes down to a few thing plain and simple.

    1. Do not call someone "entitled" for complaining about what they have paid for. If you are okay paying and not receiving I will blow air in your gas tank and you can give me money for it.
    2. Launch can be rough, that's a given, however FIX issues don't place bandaids on them and apologize. If this doesn't make sense break your leg and put a bandaid on and see how you feel.
    3. Give information. Just keep us updated. It doesn't matter if you are saying "You are all still out of luck" at least we know you have the issue on your mind.
    4. If you don't support, give people what they need, and fix issues this will truly become 1.0 reborn. Failing twice on the same MMO will be depressing as I do love the game. However we can look at Tera, Aion, Rift, and SWTOR to see that if you make mistakes, don't fix them, and don't make people happy the game will just go down hill.

    Remember all, the power of the customer is the ability to decide not to use a service.

    Is "limiting character creation and log ins" really a bandaid? That's a service restriction... I'm almost certain that this restriction isn't covered by the ToS (unless some fanboy is going to try to stretch that shit...)

    I think it is. It doesn't fix the larger issue but works for some.

    If you are referring to section 5...it only covers server maintenance and problems created by circumstances beyond the control of SE. The issues encountered are clearly not caused by circumstances beyond SE's control and do not involve a server maintenance. They have made the choice to restrict or limit access to some so that others may better enjoy the service despite everyone having paid for the same service.

    White Knight, Black Knight, whatever you choose to be on a message board, what is anyone offering that will make a difference? Yeah the network problems are a pain, I couldn't log on for 6 hrs Sunday, and when I did it was only 5 minutes before they shut down the servers for maintenance. Frustrating? Yes. But do I have a rant to make that will improve things? No. I haven't run out of patience yet and I think that SE will get it right. So I'm just going to keep playing when I can.

    Tell me, just what does this post have to do with technical support? You are just making it more difficult for real support posts to be seen. You talk about how wrong these "white knights" are, yet you don't seem to be able to follow simple rules. Wanna be taken seriously? Try following the forum rules and guidelines first....

    There is no real support in here... and many people are posting here because they are having trouble posting anywhere else on the forums...
    As for following the rules in order to be taken seriously... sometimes you need to, and sometimes you need not to... and sometimes it doesn't matter either way. This is one of those latter times.

    As for what this has to do with technical support, there are a lot of people coming here asking for technical explanations of what is being done or for help getting into the game(both of which I would consider valid technical support requests)... and then you have the people who are replying to them with variations on "you're dumb. If you don't like it don't play. SE can do no wrong." This causes a vast escalation, which then raises tentions and tempers and causes more frustration and anger, and people feel the need to vent... And guess what, there is no other place on the forums where they can do so.

    My question is why are people dismissing valid concerns expressed by paying customers and, in most cases belittling them and/or making little of their concerns and frustrations. How much can you really excuse in this debacle?

    This is no longer an issue about the concerns. They have been acknowledged, and are being worked on. Impatiently flooding the forums will not make that work go any faster. I'm frustrated just like everyone else, but I know there is no point in hammering away at the game servers OR the forums. It won't help, period. Bypassing the rules so one can vent only serves to further congest the forums.

    I neither excuse nor defend the way things are with the game. I'm just patiently waiting for it to be fixed. There is nothing else anyone can do without adding to the issues through forum congestion.
