DPS Class for a New Player

I prefer to play DPS and would like to keep things relatively simple to start. I'd prefer not to have to kite too much. What do you guys suggest as a starter class? I was thinking maybe Black Mage or Summoner.

If it's not too late for a reply, Lancer is relatively straightforward compared to the other DPS classes. On the flip side, Pugilist is probably the most technical class.

Oh, and regarding your Summoner question, yes it is a DPS but it does get some utility spells from coming off of the versatile Arcanist, namely a very weak heal and the ability to Raise someone in the middle of battle (Conjurer raise only works outside of battle if you aren't on Conjurer or White Mage and only after a certain level).

Summoner focuses on damage from its pet and Damage-over-time effects so it's still a potent DPS but focused more on consistent damage than huge hits.
