Another bump to keep this up there.

Bump.
I was an original subscriber and purchased the collectors edition and logged in on day one of 1.0. The game was HORRIBLE but I struggled with it for a couple of months until I could not stand it any more. When I heard about ARR I viewed it with some skepticism. However I must admit SE did fix the game and I congratulate them on that. Now I would only like them to fix the customer service.
I agree the log in restrictions should be in place to keep the world from crashing. However being endlessly greeted with "This World is currently full. Please wait until an opening is available and try again" is more than frustrating.
1). How are subscribers suppose to know when to try again!
2). What happened to the concept of a que? I would not mind waiting in a que, but to endlessly attempt to try to log with a error code 1017 is not the way to keep a customer happy. At least with a que I have an idea of when I would be able to play.
The part that really gets me agitated is all the legacy player were forced to stay on the legacy servers. Yet all these new kids come screaming to the legacy servers with absolutely no friends expecting everyone else to pick up their slack while blocking out the long term paying customers. This makes absolutely no freaking sense at all. I have no idea why they let anyone join the legacy servers. They should have at least bought us dinner before %&cking us over royally.
Yes. how exactly are they coming inside the legacy?. I thought it was only for 1.0/legacy members. The part that really gets me agitated is all the legacy player were forced to stay on the legacy servers. Been trying to log in for hours now and every time i get code 1017 and is like try back later. Why dont you put me in a que even if the que is for 10,000 i dont care just as long asi dont have to sit here and push start, login every 5 sec thinking its been later and someone has logged off so i can now enter. What im i a mind reader and can tell when someone has logged off so now i know when to try again. Come just get a que system that can give you a estimated time frame. Was i a que earlier for 208 then all of a sudden i get code 1017 im like WTF i was in que now i have to sit here and push login over and over and over and over and over and over and over
I have gotten the impression that the root of most of our problems was their queue system. I'm thinking it was probably the source of all those other cryptic error messages.
When it was 'working' during Saturday and Sunday, I remember getting a queue of about 500 and was logged in within minutes. In another case, I was in a queue of 40 and it took about 10 minutes to get logged in. That and all the cryptic errors that got progressively worse and worse throughout Sunday.
We do hear some players claiming to get placed in a queue and either get in game or error out with 1017. So maybe their testing new versions of the queue system live?
It sucks. I want to play too. I refuse to re-roll my legacy character on a Japanese server (though I'd be more than happy to transfer :P ). Guess we'll have to wait :/
Bumping, because I expect to actually be able to use products I buy...
This isn't a bash, the failed launch is bash enough, just my opinion. I don't think your going to see 1017 disappear until the September 9th deadline, for free to play, is up. Right now I think they're just play Devil's Advocate with the limitation on the servers and trying to bide time. I'm sure we'll see them apologize non-stop until the 9th and when half of the players don't subscribe they'll claim a fix and the players that stay will praise them for doing so. Until it happens again(Sound familiar....phase 4).
You really think if they haven't responded to countless other similar threads your random bumping of this one is going to do jack?
Two of my friends payed for early access and can't even get onto a server. Promising a service, taking people's money and not delivering goes by an unflattering name. Apologies which aren't accompanied by action are hollow and meaningless. At the least, tabling a coherent plan of action with a timeline would give players who have handed over their money, some closure to this period of frustration.
