1017 and Timeline

I was looking forward to playing, but I get the world is full message everytime. I hope SE expedites this and starts making new servers or allowing more ppl on to the servers they already have. I;m in the military and this is really the only way I get to hang out with my friends from back home. I love the game, but I want to play now!!!

AFK lockout mechanism Implementation is a must! Either 1017 or 9000 after a few hours of FINALLY playing. Two hours now of just mashing the lo login character screen to get 1017 is no fun. Seeing the same characters logged in afk in the same spots two days after I finally get in again makes me rage for an AFK Lockout Mechanism to be used. I've been a long time fan of saying shut up and take my money with them since the BEGINNING! From Final Fantasy I and on I have made a purchase. As an older player I find this disturbing to make a purchase for something than is no more worthy than a teaser/beer coaster. Not only that but being on the Balmung server, I am bombarded with /shout's on my chat log from people asking menial questions such as where is this and this location when they could easily look at the map. /facepalm

I'm just going to transfer to a JP server...

At this rate I should just stick to leveling my alt on the JP server since I get the impression that the US/EU servers will be 1017 forever. At least until SE decides to add a afk kick timer.

I was once 119 in queue. That didn't last very long however.

I'm honestly curious how difficult implementing an AFK system (though why it didn't this wasn't already implemented bugs the hell out of me...) would be at this point and whether it would actually be effective depending on the massive influx of players "mouse-raping" the login button. I mean a simple server restart prior to peak hours would at least knock SOME of the people afking i would assume until it could be implemented, though the servers probably wouldn't like it too much...

I am giving it till the end of the week. My friends don't seem to have a problem getting in, but I am having the most difficult time trying to get into the Exodus server. We picked one of the least occupied servers for a reason . . . . now it is full. It seems they were not prepared for this many people. Unfortunately people are not going to wait a week or two for them to fix the issue; with me being one of those people.
