When interacting with the suspicious box, nothing happens, and it resets as if i did not interact with said box. Logging out/in resolved the issue.

I experienced the same issue. Interact with suspicious box, interaction bar completes, no result. Attempted numerous times. Zoned out and back in, logged out and back in (despite 20+ Error 1017s). No change in issue.

Experiencing the same issue, logging out/in doesn't seem to resolve it either.
