Regarding Congestion in Japan Data Center Worlds (Aug. 27)

In order to be able to welcome a drastically greater number of players, we are starting as early as this week with preparations to increase our facilities, to be ready by early next week. Until that time, we will be continuing to implement these restrictions as required, and we ask for your understanding and patience.

Any word on if they're doing this for the NA/EU servers too, or if we're going to have to wait much longer to have stability? I haven't seen another post like this one for the NA/EU servers, but I might have missed it...

Pretty frustrating since NA/EU servers hae been extremely congested from the very start of beta 4. At this point im not even trying to log in anymore because it's pointless to fight that crowd, but in turn I'm not signing up an account or monthly payment till this gets somewhat sorted out. I mean do they want our money or not? Pretty simple logic here; you limit your logins and you're limiting your product success/income.

Are they offering free transfers because this really doesn't help the servers that are already packed unless they think people are just gonna start over after all there hard work on there characters?

I mean what does this actually help? Alot of people are not gonna leave there servers because there already attached to there character.....

So please offer transfers with this......

I assume we will see a NA/EU post sometime I mean NA/EU is the one with all the issues........

Yeah, I'm hoping they're planning the same for NA/EU but it's hard to tell with the lack of an update. :/ Here's hoping we'll have news of this soon. We've been having these issues for far longer, after all.

At this point it looks like the data services provider that SE contracted with for the NA/EU regions has reached the extant of what they can provide without purchasing more servers that then have to be configured and deployed.

Does anyone know the cost to deliver several hundred pounds/kg of insured electronics to Montreal?

I hope they have the floor space, power grid, and HVAC system built up to support the needed server expansions...or we'll be looking at server crashes with extended downtime while they cool!

SE's mistaking was believing the Canadian data services company when they promised they could handle providing services for so many regions.

We would like to make a clarification regarding our previous announcement “Regarding Congestion in Japan Data Center Worlds (Aug. 27)” in which we stated that we are preparing to increase the capacity of our data centers.

The first half of the announcement regarding login and character creation restrictions was directed towards our players who would be playing during peak hours in Japan data center Worlds.

However, the second half of the announcement regarding increasing the capacity of our data centers was meant to also encompass North American and European data center Worlds and not just be limited to Japan data center Worlds.

We deeply apologize for causing concern amongst the North American and European community due to our lack of clarity. Capacity will be increased for data centers in all regions.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and cooperation to help us welcome more players to the game.

Just give us EU data centres SE... Europe is a big place, much bigger than North America (population wise) and certainly bigger than Japan.

On topic: Glad for the increase! I've had login errors once or twice today but glad all the long term sufferers finally get to play!
