Who's fault is that though? This happened in beta already. It should've been known that this would happen. It was going on in early access. They could've had more servers up for today.

He only apologizes about this "First of all I want to say that I am sorry for us having to go into maintenance for the NA/EU servers. I want to apologize for taking precious time away from players during early access. "
Boo hooo, his tears don't fix anything. Less crying, more fixing shit. Not our fault they were inept at getting this fixed. This started back in phase 4. They knew back then they needed better hardware. No reason for this to be going on. None. There is not ONE single LEGIT excuse for this.
See this wasn't an issue in Open Beta, the issue was the server kept thinking we are logged in when we weren't, but right there they should have known if they had enough server space or not. And NOT allowing us into the game by saying World is full trying again later, that is wrong.. put us in a que, I don't care if that que says there is 270000 people ahead of me.. at least I know I can play after 270000 other people get in.. the way they have it now, it's a gamble and instead we have to keep stressing the server more by TRYING to login over and over.
I'm sure they're doing nothing. Probably hanging out in the break room having a party right now.I'm sorry I'm not going to feel sorry for some guy crying his eyes out cause he was an idiot. All the server problems they are having were infact 100% avoidable. SE knew exactly how many people were going to play and still they did nothing to make sure their severs could handle the load. On top of that when they sat there and looked at it they said "Uh better make sure people that payed us don't play our game." and decided to make 1017 and prevent people from playing just to "Fix the issue". Sorry but I have no sympathy for a company that sits and does nothing and when they do do something that something is deny people of a product they payed for.
No where does he say im sorry for not having enough servers, No Where!
This is, sadly, exactly the problem. If SE was pumping out updates regularly, I know I'd be mollified a bit. "Hey, we're going to add more servers/expand the queue/add an AFK timer/etc" would go a long way towards soothing us. More information, not less, will calm an already-annoyed population down. Something breaks in, say, WoW or the like? Blizz responds, posts in forums, etc. Someone on Squeenix's side really needs to start doing this, posthaste.
Let me just say thank you. Not many people here are so understanding. There is a point of being upset and then there is a point of going way to far. Getting angry gets people no where in situations like this. in fact these situations are rarely avoidable. There is not true test for this kind stress on a server (don't give me that true beta test c*@* either) I'm a game developer myself. swtor had much the same problems, as did wow back when it first started. JP has a far better internet infrastructure than NA/EU so blame the government for you connection issues. I remember, i was there. Now from what I have played ffxiv is a great game and I'm willing to wait to play it. So if anyone wants to disagree with me go ahead but my masters in computer graphic technology (with a minor in SERVER ENGINEERING) tells me your wrong... Again Yhisa, thank you for your understanding, you are an example of what people on here should be.
(only polite responses will be considered worth reading, thank you)
If they did their jobs there wouldn't be so much rage and he doesn't need to be a little crying bitch about it
