SE already know about server problems

See this wasn't an issue in Open Beta, the issue was the server kept thinking we are logged in when we weren't, but right there they should have known if they had enough server space or not. And NOT allowing us into the game by saying World is full trying again later, that is wrong.. put us in a que, I don't care if that que says there is 270000 people ahead of me.. at least I know I can play after 270000 other people get in.. the way they have it now, it's a gamble and instead we have to keep stressing the server more by TRYING to login over and over.

Let me just say thank you. Not many people here are so understanding. There is a point of being upset and then there is a point of going way to far. Getting angry gets people no where in situations like this. in fact these situations are rarely avoidable. There is not true test for this kind stress on a server (don't give me that true beta test c*@* either) I'm a game developer myself. swtor had much the same problems, as did wow back when it first started. JP has a far better internet infrastructure than NA/EU so blame the government for you connection issues. I remember, i was there. Now from what I have played ffxiv is a great game and I'm willing to wait to play it. So if anyone wants to disagree with me go ahead but my masters in computer graphic technology (with a minor in SERVER ENGINEERING) tells me your wrong... Again Yhisa, thank you for your understanding, you are an example of what people on here should be.

Guys listen... I'm just as fuckin' pissed off as the next guy beside me from lack of being able to play. I completely feel everyone's frustrations and everything. I too have been frustrated that I can't play this game at the moment that I've waited so long for. But you can tell this guy isn't just sitting on his ass not doing anything.. he looks pretty shaken up in this speech, I highly doubt it was an act, sure they might be silent on these forums, but if they could fix the issue right away they could, it's a server side issue which requires equipment upgrades, something that can't be done immediately.
I know all these people say "THERE WAS A BETA IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED!!!!11" That's true, it SHOULD have been fixed, but lets stop saying what SHOULD have happened, and focus on what is currently happening.
I'm willing to wait it out and let everything blow over, this is a pretty good game, but the server issues are obviously getting in the way.
I'm not being a Square fanboy, there is MANY things that I don't agree with, but I have hope that it will get straightened out.

To me personally, I don't want a refund. I don't care that I have to wait for shit to smooth out before I can play, I'm fine with waiting, because at the end of the day It's only a video game. And for me personally, I couldn't really give a damn about a refund because it's only 30 lousy fucking dollars LOL. That's crack change. If the money has setimental value to you and YOU feel robbed, then get a refund and MOVE ON! Stop trolling the forums announcing to the universe that you got a refund for 30 bucks.

Anyways, end rant. Lol, oh well. I'll have fun playing this game when everything blows over.

For whatever it is worth, I think the one thing that would make the largest impact would be more transparency on what precisely is being done to remedy the problem. When they are quiet, and with repeated cut offs being enforced while underlying problems (Log-out timer) are unaddressed thus far it only increases speculation and frustration of the player base.

I do not hold YoshiP accountable directly, but there still needs to be some more representation than apologies and vague "we're working on it" notices.

Listening to my friends on teamspeak smacking their way through dungeons, while I sit on the server select screen for 9 hours trying to roll a toon on the EU server where they all are. I've barely seen this game since phase 3. Phase 4 I got 90000'd and 3102'd, EA I got derped 1017, 3059, 10102, etc., and launch is equally as shambolic.

Yup I'm crying because Yoshi has my cash in his back pocket while I drool on my keyboard after suffering from a stroke due to the stress of trying to play this game.

People will always complain about launches, how it's the worst launch in MMO history etc. I for one don't think FFXIV is the worst launch, I consider Aion to be the worst launch. NCSoft put in a queuing system that people have been crying out for SE to do, and what happens? Yes, you've got it, all hell broke lose on the official forums and people complained left right and centre how they were so peeved to be sitting in a queue for 7+ hours before they could finally play the game. I would load in the game, get in queue and have a soak in the tub, wash my hair, do the housework, cook dinner, and come back to find that I was still in a queue. If they implement the queuing system here do you think everyone would be satisfied that they're having to queue instead of getting the 1017 error? Hell no, it'll be just another thing that SE are doing wrong.

I've been there with the 1017 errors, have had the 90000 and 10101 errors just like everyone else. I've been a little bit frustrated that I've not been able to create a character on a specific server, but instead of kicking off and being abusive as some have I've just gone away, left it a bit and tried again and eventually I've been able to get in or create a character.

I understand that people are frustrated and that their patience are running thin but honestly some of the posts I've seen are completely unnecessary no matter how frustrated you are, all you'll end up achieving is a ban. I'm happy to wait no matter how frustrating it gets because at the end of it all the servers are going to settle, kids are going to go back to school, for those that took time out from work for the launch, you'll have to return to work at some point, so the server congestion will settle. In the meantime I'm just enjoying what little time I can get logging into the game and patiently waiting for the servers to settle.

And finally, kudos to Yoshi-P for an amazing game
