Hello Everyone,
Support is not answering my ticket anytime soon and from the looks of some of these other posts on the forum they might not answer it at all so I decided to post here hoping to gain some clarity concerning the issues I am having with the game here.
I bought FFXIV from a well known dutch website and obviously I play in the Netherlands. The game copy has not been delivered yet but I recieved my registration code today. After a failed attempt to redeem my registration codes in the launcher I tried with succes the second option which is redeeming the code on the website. Restarted the launcher and I could start the game and create a character.
After I finished creating my character I could only play on US servers, now a news message was released stating some worlds are closed for character creation. Not all closed worlds are listed in this message and I assume they could also be full, example is EU Phoenix cant create a character but it is not listed in the news message.
Now I've read forum posts that other EU players who redeemed a code from a EU purchase were assigned to the US region and not the EU region. If so would they only be able to play on US servers? Where can I see which region my service is registered to so I can rule out this is happening to me?
Or am I after purchasing this game, on the day of the release, too late because all EU servers are full and closed from character creation? Am I now stuck playing on servers where I am in my bed during primetime because of a lack of server capacity?
So basically I would like to know if being assigned to the wrong region makes a difference here or/and if all EU servers are now full or closed for character creation. On the day of the release I should be able to play on a EU server. And at first I could not even post on these forums because I could not set a character and the selection bugged out. As I said support is not answering my questions and the support webpage was not even loading for me so I hope somebody in the community can clarify this for me since I am at a loss.
Thank you in advance.
