18 digit code?

I just picked up my physical copy of ffxiv arr for ps3 and opened it up.... inside sat an 18 digit code, how do I registered my copy and where cause mogstation wants a 20 digit code. .

I went into account management and found a place to input an 18digit code but mog still sais 3day ea

The 18 digit code inside the box is a serial code for the square-enix member site.

it's like a proof of purchase that will list you have bought the game.

You should have another slip of paper with "Registration code" noted on it, or something similar.

I don't have a standard version so I'm not sure how they included the code for you.

It could be a sticker or field inside a manual.
