Yea, I get about 16-20 fps with 16x AA with max shadows + lighting @ 1900x1080 at the crystal in Gridania. I mean it's playable but anything below 40fps just doesn't feel fluid to me.Really? that's odd. My GTX 460 1gb runs at max at 35-50 FPS depending on location which is very good for such an old card. There was also someone who posted earlier that they too have a gtx 660 and run at 60 FPS max with the obvious drop depending on location and people on screen. Also alot of people have said that SLI is not being utilised properly at all, apart from in dungeons.Maybe something you should look in to.
According to the system menu, the fps ranges from 40 to 65 whilst I play on High (Laptop) and also the same when I run on High (Desktop). You should be able to max out the game with that setup provided you have a good PSU to run your card maxed out, I assume you do though. You will get poor FPS in places but people with much stronger cards have also reported this so I wouldn't be too concerned about that.
Sorry, I did not not say. I am running on a desktop.
Thanks for the tips.Sounds about right to me, are you actually playing on a laptop? if not then switch it to desktop and see what mileage you get, its its not to your liking then you can start scaling things back, I'de start with the HDR renderer, shadows, Occlusion, and shadow resolution, grass also seems to be a large resource hog usually setting that to low nets a pretty nice fps increase and there is still plenty of grass around on that setting if you like it.
For me, anything below the refresh of my monitor is what I consider not reasonable (ie. 60fps). 40fps and below is absolutely unplayable for me, I just can't stand it. With a GTX680 at 1440p I can maintain 60fps with VSync about 95% of the time. FATEs tend to drop to the 50's.Really? that's odd.
