Optimizing Graphics

Oh god no, I run with 2 650's in SLI and a i7 and I can't max the game out (while maintaining reasonable fps).

Shadows and lighting are killer. fps is shown in top right corner of graphics setting window - go to a high traffic area and tweak settings until you're happy. I think I went with FXAA, max textures but simple shadows/lighting (and sit at 55-60fps)

Really? that's odd. My GTX 460 1gb runs at max at 35-50 FPS depending on location which is very good for such an old card. There was also someone who posted earlier that they too have a gtx 660 and run at 60 FPS max with the obvious drop depending on location and people on screen. Also alot of people have said that SLI is not being utilised properly at all,apart from in dungeons.Maybe something you should look in to.

Yea, I get about 16-20 fps with 16x AA with max shadows + lighting @ 1900x1080 at the crystal in Gridania. I mean it's playable but anything below 40fps just doesn't feel fluid to me.

For me, anything below the refresh of my monitor is what I consider not reasonable (ie. 60fps). 40fps and below is absolutely unplayable for me, I just can't stand it. With a GTX680 at 1440p I can maintain 60fps with VSync about 95% of the time. FATEs tend to drop to the 50's.
