Yeh. I mean, even if the scale armor has stats that say Parry, etc. I'm gonna pass that to the tank. Cause thats tank stats.
But being unable to roll need on scale armor with dps stats and tanks getting to makes me want to /cry. ;p

Also. Theres a vendor in one of the big quest hubs in south shroud that sells scale armor for 20 - 23. BiS for dragoon unless can get dungeon gear.
Vendor in Southern Thanalan, Forgotten Springs, that sells scale armor for level 32, BiS for dragoon as well, unless can get dungeon gear.

Yes, its quite derpy.

Theres a vendor in every higher level area for that level tier with white gear thats an upgrade from previous. After the 32 scale armor set in forgotten sprints, Camp Dragonhead in Coerthas or however its spelled has a merchant with the 40 or was it 42 scale armor. It might of been a little lower level, then in Mor Dhona Toll town, theres scale armor for 46.

But yeah. I have seen absolutely ZERO boot slot scale armor from any of the vendors, but I have seen them from the quests. But hey, filling up every slot but boots with updated gear isn't bad, granted, you can also get the same gear, just alot later mind you, from quests. Personally I upgrade sooner and just get the money tins you can sell to the vendors instead, covers about 50 - 75%

*** Also since you get the easy lvl45 Artifact gear, all slots but belt and Chest ( There is no belt peice btw. ) you can just get the 46 chest to tide you over til 50 artifact piece.

It anoys me that we never get an aknowledgment from square enix on subjects like this. How are we to know if this is something there looking into or if its intentional somehow? A error like this can make or break the whole game for some ppl. I mean... spending 100's of hours to find that when a party your in is rewarded with something that is of use to a dragoon, you cant even have a fair shot a it.

Please fix!

This happened to me twice today on one Brayflox run. Two pieces of the aetherial scalemail dropped and I couldn't need on either piece.

Maybe a silly question, I'm new to FF and didn't play 1.0. I play a Glad btw.

Do Glad's / Lancers use the same equipment or is this the equivalent to a Glad rolling need on something that's of an inferior toughness (e.g Glad rolling on leather gear).

Is all of the loot bind on pickup? Could I need roll for a lancer to give it to them if they find that they can't roll on an upgrade?

The issue with Lancer Gear seems strange. Essentially some of the most durable (highest defence) DoW gear can be worn only by GLA and MRD (example), while some have LNC added (example), but the Lancers are not able to roll need on them. So it's either a case of the LNC being a mistake on the gear and they shouldn't be able to use them (thus can't need), or the LNC is missing on the other pieces and the need option on rolling on them needs to be fixed.

As for loot being BoP I have no clue, have never tried to trade items from dungeons, or any items at all.

As a tank I will say that its pretty crappy. Medium armors should not allow me to roll need on. And I pass if there is a LNC in the group. Actually, I run with a ARC/SUM and Me, so we usually try not to hose over the other random DPS we get. But man... I am about to stop inviting LNC'ers in our group. The general community of them is noticeably rude and challenging to play with. I have had 3 tell me that they were going to tank the run, and try with all their might to not follow the marks and pull agro just to tank "something". I'm to the point of letting them get the mob and then our healer lets em die.

Same here. Did Brayflox on my Dragoon got my hopes up when I saw the scale drop and STILL could not roll need on scale that had DPS stats on it that was a huge upgrade over what I'm wearing. Is this ever going to get fixed?
