This has probably been mentioned a million times but I haven't seen any posts under here...

Why did Yoshi decide that when the Light metal armors drop (GLA/PLD, MRD/WAR, LNC/DRG) Why are lancer refused the ability to lot and instead are forced to either admit defeat and not get it from the GLA/MRD anyway but then have to fight for it from the Thm Cnj and any other class that want it for the sake of it...

I know the system is set to benefit certain classes (like Arc get priority on Dex only equipment) but some of those body's have good stats on for Lnc... Why not allow them to at least 'Need' on the item so they get priority over the people who cannot even equip -.-;

Yes. This is a big pile of **** to be honest.

In a 25 - 30 dungeon. A chest drops. I'm all happy cause its an upgrade, nice defense stats, dps stats on it. Says mrd, gld, war, pld, lnc, drg. Need is greyed out. Only greed and pass are avaialble. I'm forced to choose greed and tank gets to Need on it.

Whats the point of listing LNC/DRG on the armor when you're going to lock DRG/LNC out of rolling on the stuff? 99.9% of every tank in a duty finder is going to hit Need, whether upgrade or not. This pretty much means our best upgrades aren't available to us and we're forced to make do with the poor pug/mnk/archer/brd leather.

Eh, 2pairs of the same feet popped up in different chest in a run today. Pld lotted "Need" on both pairs~

It's kinda dumb that Lnc/Drg can't "Need" gear there listed on, mean while a tank can lot the same item in one run twice.

Looks like a glaring mistake to me.

If there is going to be a "light mail" armor (or whatever you call GLA/PLD, MRD/WAR, LNC/DRG armor), then that is going to be the best armor for a LNC/DRG. Or at least the best for a LNC/DRG that cares about defense. It's going to be 2nd best (again, assuming care about defense) for GLA/PLD, MRD/WAR because they have access to the heavier stuff that doesn't list LNC/DRG. So it's like the class who needs it *MORE* can't roll Need while the classes that it's merely OK for can do so.

Hope they fix it soon. And that's said from someone playing WAR primarily, not LNC/DRG.

Also. Theres a vendor in one of the big quest hubs in south shroud that sells scale armor for 20 - 23. BiS for dragoon unless can get dungeon gear.
Vendor in Southern Thanalan, Forgotten Springs, that sells scale armor for level 32, BiS for dragoon as well, unless can get dungeon gear.

I agree this is total BS. I ran Brayflox 4 time today and each time the same piece of gear dropped that was a big upgrade for me and what does the tank do? Needs every effing time!!! His excuse? "It's not meant for you" Makes me want to pull my hair out!

Thanks for this! I noticed the vendor is missing Steel Scale Greaves though. In fact the vendor doesn't have any feet armor at all.

Yes, its quite derpy.

Theres a vendor in every higher level area for that level tier with white gear thats an upgrade from previous. After the 32 scale armor set in forgotten sprints, Camp Dragonhead in Coerthas or however its spelled has a merchant with the 40 or was it 42 scale armor. It might of been a little lower level, then in Mor Dhona Toll town, theres scale armor for 46.

But yeah. I have seen absolutely ZERO boot slot scale armor from any of the vendors, but I have seen them from the quests. But hey, filling up every slot but boots with updated gear isn't bad, granted, you can also get the same gear, just alot later mind you, from quests. Personally I upgrade sooner and just get the money tins you can sell to the vendors instead, covers about 50 - 75%

*** Also since you get the easy lvl45 Artifact gear, all slots but belt and Chest ( There is no belt peice btw. ) you can just get the 46 chest to tide you over til 50 artifact piece.

I'm a lvl 27 LNC and i wear lvl 26 (it might be 24 not 100%) iron scale armor head to toe thats higher in def,mag def, and stats then the rare drops i find in dungeons.

well either they let us roll need or they don't let us wear it at all

it's the best upgrade for lancer yet we can't roll for it and the one who don't need it they roll for it and then they just leave it in the armory chest
