Final Fantasy XIV: A realm reborn has stopped working AMD ATI?

Hey everybody, I recently bought a new gaming laptop with windows 8 OS and ATI Radeon gfx card, after downloading the patch and ready to play I click "Play" As soon as I click it, I get this error!




I've tried all sorts of drivers, old and new, including the ones that came on the disk.
My Direct X is fully up to date and i'm pretty much out of ideas. If anyone could help, that'd be greatly appreciated!

My spec is as follows:
Windows 8 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @2.40GHz (8CPUs)
8GB Ram
DirectX 11
ATI Radeon HD 8970M 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
120GB SSD

I am having a similar issue and am at my wits end.

I was running fine last night (well until I could not log in forever). This morning I logged in and began to fiddle with settings. The last thing I did was change the refresh rate to 59 from 60 to see what it did...BAM, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working.

I get this every time the game begins to load after I hit play. I am also getting a pop up that says: fatal directx error (1000003d), but only some times.

To this point I have:
1) Reinstalled ffxiv
2) Completely flushed all old display drivers and re-installed the most recent beta driver (that says it has updates to ffxiv). This driver was the only driver I had when I logged in this morning.
3) Updated using windows update
4) looked through dxdiag to see if there were any known issues. There were not
5) Tried searching for ways to update, repair, or reinstall directx11, but apparently there is no way other than windows update (but I may have missed something).

Some specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7700 series
CPU: AMD A8-5500 APU Quadcore ~3500MHz
Memory: 8GB RAM
OS: Windows 8 64bit

Same issue keeps happening to me. Only it happens when I tab out multiple times in game. I made a post about it already but no response. Please fix this

This is also happening to me, really frustrating especially after finally getting logged in then getting this error. Any fix or update would be highly appreciated, already updated drivers.

Are you guys using the new AMD beta drivers? They completely fixed this problem for me.
