Thread: Standard 1.0 / Legacy -> phisical CE purchase

Well I can't play the game nor can I use my boxed CE code which I PAID FOR. I guess I am doubly screwed.

They also said nothing on there old Square Enix store about not being able to use the codes from the box CE if you had 1.0 account. I also cant get refund for this crap because I opened it.

amazon tells me we don't offer refunds on digital, Im currently looking to square. Sent a ticket hope I get some help. I haven't used my code yet that way It won't open up a brand new FFXIV account. Hopefully they will find a way to allow me to use my current code to upgrade my current legacy account.

I'm not looking for a refund or a PS3 exchange since I got PC boxed CE ARR.
I'm perfectly happy with the content provided... it would have been nice if we had the same super nice box as EU and JP got... but that a petty complaint.

Ugggh, this is my issue as well right now. Just got the physical CE in the mail and now i can't do anything with it. I really don't want to pay an extra $20 just to have those items, when i already shelled out. There has to be something. Hell, just use that "Bonus Item Codes" button and let us redeem. Something.

That is basically what I said in my email to them, said I don't mind the fact that I paid £34.99 for the CE and the Digital Upgrade is £14.99 ... I just want them to change the account so I can get my items.

Seeing as the would make more money by doing it, and it can't be that hard to do, I think it seems feasible... Otherwise I'll take a £34.99 refund and pay £14.99 for the upgrade.

Guys, look, I'm sorry to say it, but those of us (myself included) who bought the PC CE, back when it first became available in May, dropped the ball. SE did warn everyone that if you bought the PC Collectors Edition and had a 1.0 account, you would not be able to redeem the code waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy back on August 8, 2013. 9 posts in. On a topic about the latest Letter from the Producer (at the time).

No one to blame but ourselves...

It's just a mater of reading through pages of replies to find it now.

Like you said so well, this WAS a known issue back in May.. and The decided to just turn a blind eye to it thinking this juggling of PS3 accounts and double dipping digital service upgrade would be OK.

BTW... that post does not talk about CE items, it's about the 30 days free that you get.

If you buy the PS3 version you can link it to a 1.0 account and get the extra 30 days, like with CE items.
