Looked at chat programs. (Leaves out PS3 players.)

I can think of 3 soultions:
    1) Raise the 128 member linkshell limit.
    2) Allow players to join more than one free company.
    3) Allow for an add to the game that could echo chat from one chatline to another.

Right now: we have members of our community in our free company only, and members in our linkshell only. There is no one place everyone can talk. Please help!

Both extremely valid and USEFUL points.

While it is understandable that Linkshells are not being changed at all, I would like to offer additional clarification on why I think the above are very valid points. We, who have played this game for a while, have a tendency to gather a wide circle of friends. Linkshells offer a wonderful semi-private chat channel to talk with people we may not get to socialize with otherwise. If the "semi-private" chat channel is limited then so is our opportunities to reach out and be a part of our community. More and more of us have had to turn off our Shout channels, thus limiting our communication even more.

TL;DR - Can we have larger linkshell limits please?

I'll chime in on this because I think it's a wonderful idea! Linkshells offer a common place for friends and Free Company members to talk. I think raising the linkshell limit significantly is a fabulous idea!

I'll offer an opinion on item #2 allowing players to join more than one free company. I was recently a part of a guild in GW2 which due to it's huge size, was forced to have people in 5 different guilds, each with the name of the guild spelled slightly different. There was also no common chat space for the different guild members to all talk with one another (similar to a linkshell), the end result was the guild seemed to have lost cohesiveness and continuity, as members not in Section A couldn't have a common chat with Section B, etc. Some members were switched to Section C and effectively couldn't engage with guild mates they had in another section. For officers it was a headache too, as they had to switch guilds to keep in touch with their members and share news.

I cannot agree with this enough.

On our server, Gilgamesh, our fc Driftwood Coast, is becoming very popular. We try to welcome everyone who are interested in RP or talk about wanting to RP with us. But the paltry LS limit is stupid and needs to be removed or at least made larger.

We are having to resort to remove alts and those who haven't played in so many days, and we do not like doing so. This ruins the community of awesome people!

And this even goes for non RPers. Having small numbers keeps people away from meeting others in a LS since all are separated and can't talk with each other.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned or suggested already so forgive me if its already been brought up but I'd like to suggest a change/adjustment to the retainer menu. Currently you can view your own sales history by selecting "transaction history" in the retainer menu. While this is nice, I think it would be extremely helpful to be able to view the history of the items themselves as well or instead. As it is now, we're forced to go back and forth between the market board and retainer to list our items for sale. I think this might be part of the problem with the market stability as I look at a lot of the item histories and see wildly fluctuating prices. Some of the listings make it clear that the player didn't even bother checking the history. I'd love it if I no longer had to write down each item in my inventory that I wanted to sell and then go look them up before going back to the retainer to put them up for sale.

I already gave a tip for this here:

You can find a button somewhere near the top of that interface and it'll bring up the market board entry for that item. From there, you can check current prices and past sale prices.

    Good luck.

Now that I've been around for a tad I'm starting to build up my own list:
    1. Can't jump off a ledge or into the water. Everytime I'm in Limsa Lominsa, I see all that water and just want to jump...
This applies to every coastal spot, pond, and so on.
    2. I want to be a goblin, qiqran, sylph, or that lizard guy in the Arcanist Guild in Limsa that is NOT an Ixal.
    3. WTB ability to pass items and Gil between my characters on the same server.
    4. When on a Chocobo and I hit a city wall, just auto-dismount and ride me in... likewise if I pass a FATE - one button to BOTH levelsync and dismount would be nice.
    5. In game searching of linkshells would be handy.
    6. Arcanist before scholar should be able to queue as heals. All we're missing is Raise. And if you've cross-classed that then well... come on... o_O
    7. Vanity slots can't come sooner.
    8. Needs more hair and face types. Some non-caucasian ones would be handy.
    9. When I'm talking to an NPC, stop disabling my camera controls.
    10. Why can't I screenshot in cutscenes... seriously...
    11. Wish the Chocobo mount music was the same as the Chocobo Porter music. Sometimes I ride the porter just because it has funner music.
    12. If you let me accept a quest I'm kind of low level for, don't prevent me from turning it in if I manage to complete it. Accept and Turn In minimum should always be the same value.
    13. Put a cap on how many FATES people can do per day... seriously... The number of ZERG FATE grinders is out of control. Get people out doing more varied content, and put a cap on this to control the lag and disruption these things create when they camp a zone.
    14. Up the shinies or something for repeating guildhests and dungeons. They are amazingly fun - so encourage it more. I may be intrinsically motivated, but not everyone else is.
    15. Give everyone an out-of-combat rez... Lore, schmore, /couldcareless... this went a LONG way in Guild Wars 2 towards boosting up community. Give XP for rezzing people in the open world.
    16. Always give some amount of XP for people who help others fight mobs. Again, boosts community.
    17. Make mobs pat a little wider. Make mobs always aggro if another of the same type is attacked withing a certain radius. If two blokes are talking on a couch, its stilly that I can grab them out one at a time...
    18. Gives the elves about a 5-8% bigger head, and about a 2-3% thinner neck...
    19. Explain to me why Lalafells have a bosom slider... what target demographic of PLAYER was that meant for and WHY? If they're gnomes, make them look more adult. If not, well... that slider is out of place...

Agreed - This -! Was annoyed to me the other day.

Topping my list right now is sorting, which is scheduled to be fixed soon.

    Additional:

Let me turn in all the GC crafted, gathered items I have at once.
Let me select multiple items at once to sell to npc or move to retainer etc
Queing duty finder while have chocobo companion out
    Skillchains
My own limit break vs or in addition to group Limit Break

    1. Different personal LBs for each classes / jobs similar to the Supercharges from DCUO ( in addition of the group LBs we already have ).
    2. Duo instances
    2a. duo LB (optional).
    3. Daily solo quests rewarding with 1 ToP or ToM depending on the Combat rating with a lvl 50 class.
    4. Trade and tell in dungeons.
    5. Open worlds raids similar to Operations from DCUO.
    6. Kick option.
    7. Reset non story quests through journal for our other classes.
    8. Reset the guildhest / dungeon 1st timer bonus each time we do them with new classes for the 1st time.
    9. Real stats comparison when highlighting a piece of gear ( not only DEF / ATT attributes ).
    10. Account bank. I want to swap items / money from a character to another.
RMTs are already legion anyway there's no more reason to not implement this.
    11. Add players to friend list even when they're offline. Or at least be able to send a friend request that will pop up whenever the player log back on.

    Hello, everyone!

We’ve been receiving feedback requesting to make it so customization options will be remembered on a class/job basis, and make it so they can be switched to easily. Below is a comment from User Interface lead Hiroshi Minagawa in regards to this.

Quote Originally Posted by Hiroshi_Minagawa View Post

As there have been many of the same request, I would like to give you all an example of the settings I actually use as a healer.

The below settings have been split into solo-specific and PT-specific settings with as little work as possible.

Overview of the uses for each cross hotbar set
SET 1: Soloing - Mainly for attacking while hunting in the field and FATEs
SET 2: PT - Weapon drawn set 1, mainly for healing
SET 3: PT - Weapon drawn set 2, mainly for DoTs and attacks
SET 4: Unused (On rare occasions, will use this as a special set for solo quest battles)
SET 5: Weapon sheathed - First attack action, mounts, sprint, stoneskin macros, etc.
     SET 6:Unused
     SET 7:Unused
SET 8: Common - Duty Finder greetings and emote macros

I toggle a portion (the portions) of the settings for soloing and partying with the character configuration hotbar settings. At the current level cap with the same way of thinking, I believe we can increase the number of uses by one or two.
*By the way, I've turned off the automatic weapon sheathing setting.

    Soloing configuration settings
     Set Selection
     ■ Enable customization
      □ Hotbar 1 ■ Hotbar 5
      □ Hotbar 2 □ Hotbar 6
      □ Hotbar 3 □ Hotbar 7
      □ Hotbar 4 □ Hotbar 8
     ■ Enable customization for when weapon is drawn
       Hotbar 1 □ Hotbar 5
      □ Hotbar 2 □ Hotbar 6
      □ Hotbar 3 □ Hotbar 7
      □ Hotbar 4 □ Hotbar 8

    Party configuration settings
     Set Selection
     ■ Enable customization
      □ Hotbar 1 ■ Hotbar 5
      □ Hotbar 2 □ Hotbar 6
      □ Hotbar 3 □ Hotbar 7
      □ Hotbar 4 Hotbar 8
     ■ Enable customization when weapon is drawn
      □ Hotbar 1 □ Hotbar 5
       Hotbar 2 □ Hotbar 6
       Hotbar 3 □ Hotbar 7
      □ Hotbar 4 □ Hotbar 8
Currently, I need to manually change the configuration settings every time I use the Duty Finder, and frankly I find it quite annoying to switch them…

While there are still a lot of high priority tasks that need to be implemented, we would like to implement a text command that would change the above configuration settings, which we feel should address the requests we are receiving.

    How does that sound?
    Note:
While simply increasing this is rather easy from an implementation standpoint, we cannot just do it without considering the possibilities as the amount of client memory will increase as the saved data for a single character’s sets increases.
