In 2.16 they added the ability for you to select up to 5 quests (small yellow boxes boxes) in your journal (press J) that you want visibly listed/tracked on your screen. If none are selected the system does it's voodoo(I'm sure there is logic to their selection but sometimes I wonder) magic of selecting up to 5 for you.

As for the check boxes in the Duty Finder screen, those are used to select up to X (I can't recall what the max is) that you want to queue for. Basically instead of just selecting one you can select multiple and the server will just randomly(or perhaps whichever is available first) get you into a instance from your selection.

I'm not 100% that clarifies what you were asking. :X

I'm sure they're already mentioned but I need to add a vote to a couple of things

First and most importantly let me see sub-stat comparisons for armor! If my equipped armor has a +3 to intelligence and the new gear I'm hovering my mouse over has +5 I want to see a green +2 beside it!! If you can do it for Defense and Magic Defense you can sure as heck do it for sub-stats

Let me talk to people while mounted. I'd also like to auto dismount when I use an ability while I have something targeted.

PLEASE FIX THESE!!! Especially the armour stats!

For the aetherytes nearest the housing ward entrances, add that city's main aetheryte as a destination, so we can go back to the city without having to pay to teleport there or travel back on foot.

Let us view our retainers' inventory wherever we are in the game. Being able to access it only from the summoning bells is okay, but we should be able to view those inventories the same way we can view our personal inventory.

Give us the ability to bazaar our inventory like we could in XI.

More shades of brown dye. Just kidding about that one. But seriously, why are there so many browns? Gives us more shades of the aesthetically pleasing colors!

19a. Being able to place a "Seeking equipment repair" icon next to your name, just as you can for AFK, seeking party, etc. 19b. This of course then also would require the functionality of players being able to actually repair other people's equipment... Right click player, request repair. Just like meld requests. Or better yet, allow us to right click on our own character's equipment and mark an item for repairs. A window will display for confirm and what amount of Gil the player would like to donate to the person who repairs it (this window will also notify you if you have the proper grade material in your inventory for the crafter to use. 19c. Or you could have it where the crafter uses their own, which means equipment repair donations will then be affected by market prices of the materials needed.

20. Add a new name tag selection for Free Company members only. I tend to play with name either totally hidden except for my party members. Or I will change the color of the names of my party members not to match the default light blue. What I'd love to see is an option for FC members. ie. Hide everyone's name but my fellow FC members.

21. Staying in the mindset of Free Companies, how about displaying the FC crest/sheild next to a person's name? I realize that means an extra object the UI has to render. So, make it a option/toggle feature. I just recall from one of the earlier concept screenshots that people had their FC crests next to their name. This of course was also something 1.0 had. It was really nice to run with a group of people who all shared the same crest. And other people can see that you belong in the same group. Or perhaps make it where you can either have the FC abbreviated <<name>> or the crest display but not both?

22. Player driven event items. I'm going to reach back into my foggy memory about something FFXI added later in it's life cycle. I can't quite recall what it was called or all the details around it. But basically it would be neat to add a new FC feature (add it to the list of permissions the owner can give out), that allows a person in your FC who has permission to add items to the game world that only FC members can see. Such as flags, markers, gates, etc. This give FC's the ability to do their own little mini events, races, hide-n-seek, etc..

There are a lot of items and pages on the crafting logs. It would be nice just to have a favorited list of those recipes we frequent (actually use).

Actually a search function in the crafting list would be great. Its really annoying to go through everything if you wanna see what a specific item need for materials.

And another thing that would be great, highlight the recipies for which you have the materials in your inventory. This would be helpful especially when leveling up a craft, to just be able to see whatever you got the materials for making right away.

So far i'm loving the game, the only thing i don't like is the small font size for npc dialogue, i hope you can add an option to increase the font size.

I would like a window to pop up at the end of a dungeon or trial, or whatever that has stats on it. Something like:

How about a race specific ability? Nothing game-breaking that will make every Mage a certain race, every tank another, but just something useful.

This might not work if that item is also a personal item that you didn't intend to go to complete a quest. Like in crafting leve maybe that item is something you intend to wear or sell and has hq or materia or dye to it. Would be annoying if you accidentally turned it over before you caught yourself.

I would like font size to have an option to go smaller please and the chat box be added to UI movable things so I can push it more out of the way. I'm on PS3 on a wide screen tv and chat is kinda looking funny being closer to the middle than I'd like it.

Video would be nice if it didn't clutter up the already to much UI and if those of us on Play Station could upload it. Don't know if that is possible I think PS3 only uploads pics.
