Some suggestions, mostly quality of life, obvious things

Put an aethernet port near the waking sands.

For a a fairly important place due to the fact thats where the main story quests are I am surprised that theres no port.

I'm sick of teleporting to uldah and then ride a mount. Or go to limsa lominsa and get a boat ride

Here are a few more QoL ideas (not sure if they've been brought up):

• Place more Mail Moogles around the cities. At the very least, place one in the Inn.
• Allow players to craft in the Inn room where there is less congestion and lag.
• Add an opacity slider for the chatlog -- there are times where it is impossible to read!
• Add an auto-return message when a player uses /busy
• Offer a dead player the option to revive at the "closest" Aether or Home point
• Allow mail to anyone, not just those on friends list*
• Allow players to mail to (or share inventory with) alts/mules*
• Add swimming and underwater exploration
• Add boating and allow fishing from boats
• Let us link items in chatlog
• Give full stats for gear comparisons
• Lock items that are currently being used in a gearset so they can't be sold/traded without confirmation

*Supposedly friend-only mail and shared inventory restrictions were put in place to deter RMT. From what I can see, all they've done is limit legitimate players. The RMT creeps ran rampant (and still continue to send me numerous /tells every day).

I have found the libra eorzea pretty lacking. It would also be nice to be able to look up specific stats. The other day I was wondering what my accuracy was while I was at the hospital, and since there was wifi I was able to log in. I thought I would be able to look at my stats...nope.

It would be nice if we could look up our job levels, traits we have applied to the job, and of course the specific stats in each class/job.
**if we could view player information via 3G.
**if the app would tell us the items needed to craft the gear we look up if it's a craft-able item.
**if there was a map in the app that showed where the spawn locations are for fates.
**if there was a loot table for dungeons.
**if gear dropped by bosses or treasure chests said which chest or mob it drops from.
**actually most everything I tend to look up gear wise has the canned "not crafted, not dropped by mob, not a quest rewards" so just a general update in that regards.
**access to view the market board for your server.
**Materials "gathered" like ore should have its grade and location it can be found.
**when a material such as an ingot is looked up there is no information on what it's components are, the level to craft it, etc...all around lack of information.

• Allow mail to anyone, not just those on friends list* It isn't this way due to RMT, but harassment. Should include FC members, though, along with a search feature.

You should also look into adding cross referencing to the data base... It's a pretty poor database that let's us look up an item, see that it is a crafting material but then doesn't tell us what it can make.

The APP is sorely lacking and is a great disappointment, not even giving us the recipes for crafted items is the dumbest thing to leave out of the app when the older lodestone used to give us those. Until this is resolved this app gets unused by me for the lack of proper basic & reasonably expected information. And please SE, don't tell us that this is "Working as intended", this should not have been left out in the first place.

I have tested it right now.
If you have gamepad mode on, than you can't move the circle with a real (PC) mouse without moving also the camera. But if you switch with your gamepad in the Gamepad/Mouse mode (L1+R3), then you can move it with the right analogstick without that you move the camera. L2 work then as the left mouse button.

Thank you that is good to know! Possibly then it would be great to have a different option to change what the default aoe placement/movement type would be. For example choose camera based aoe placement or mouse/right analogue stick based placement.
