Able to repair your gear wiithout changing class when you have a disciple of hand job that can repair it. Having to change jobs, then find the item is a massive pain that is easier to just repair at a merchant

I realize this might have already been mentioned but increasing the number of members allowed in a linkshell would be great. Maybe make it the half the size if not the same size as the free company maximum member count.![]()
Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after.
Make dungeons "Contribution" based, you have to physically play the dungeon or take part to receive the final reward. i.e say there are 100 mobs in the dungeon that you have to kill, and the reward is 100 tokens. each mob would be worth a token. (use it to stop AFKers ruining our dungeon experience.) Not that as such, but the contribution based idea would definitely stop them.
I'd like to see more colors on the little circles on the UI for inventory. currently I see green for armor, red for a full stack or item that can't be stacked, white for spiritbound... and blue for everything else.
I wnd up with 4 tabs of blue. but in there I have consumables like food or potions or allagan pieces that could be sold. these should be different colors as well so it's easier to find items. a different color for different gathering items would be nice too. like one for botany, one for mining and one for fish. a color for potions and a color for foods/drinks.
Please split our own Buff and Debuff bar so we could place them as we fit.
Or a bar that has 2 rows, one for the Buffs and the other for Debuffs.
Easier to focus on whats going on and take proper action like using potions![]()
I just want to play but they are ALWAYS doing maintenance EVERYNIGHT I can play so does this mean I bought and pay for a game just to watch a maintenance message? or am I supposed to tell work and my life I to change just to play for the few hours they aren't doing maintenance?
My wishlist of QoL changes:
- Loop area music. Add a system settings toggle to disable "battle music" (but not boss or primal themes).
- Add an alpha slider to the chatbox settings.
- Add a "default to last chat channel used" option for the chatbox settings, so I don't have to type "/fc" on an empty line to lock my chat into Free Company chat.
- Mark items in the Armory Chest with a number corresponding to the assigned gear set.
- "Red-out" the entire action icon when a target is out of range, rather than just the (tiny) cost indicator.
- Make buffs and debuffs more visually distinct from each other (the up/down chevron design is a bit tough to tell apart at a glance).
- Make the icons for debuffs and damage-over-time effects you place on an enemy larger than the ones others place on an enemy.
- Make sure that debuffs always show up first on the party unitframes.
- Free Company perks should not show up on party unitframes.
- Make the combo/proc indicator around an action icon more visible (instead of a dotted yellow outline, a brightly-glowing yellow border would be easier to see).
- Draw "lines" (i.e. red-line/green-line add on Garuda HM) during encounters thicker, brighter and more visually distinctive.
- Add a "queue next action executed" option in settings, so that if I cast a spell and then hit the action button for another spell, it will queue up and cast when the next spell completes. Those who don't like this can toggle it in Character Settings > Hotbars. This will make actions with animations shorter than the global cooldown chain together far more smoothly regardless of client latency.
- Add new or modify existing armor sets that use the older, less visually-striking 1.0 armor models to use recolors of the new, more detailed 2.0 armor models (i.e. Battlemage, Infantry sets).
- Modify the "disable headgear" option so that hooded robes (i.e. Darklight) are affected by the toggle.
- Add a "Passive" toggle to the pet hotbar so that scholars and summoners can control their summons manually.
- Add a "consolidate stackable items" option for the company vault, character and retainer inventories.
- Add an "auto-sort inventory" button for the company vault, character and retainer inventories.
- Add a macro modifier that suppresses error messages.
- Add a macro modifier that displays a desired action tooltip.
- When obtaining a new job and equipping the soul crystal, the base class's hotbar layout should be carried over.
- Adjust the camera focus angle when "locked-on" to a target, so that your character model does not fall below the visible frame.
- Allow all armor to be dyed.
... and most of all...
- Add a completely unrestricted vanity tab with toggles to hide individual armor model slots. I know the whiteknights will hit this one hard, but C'MON MAAAAN! Wouldn't it be awesome to wear plated, armored gauntlets and boots with a mage robe and be a badass battlemage? Wouldn't it be awesome to mix and match cloth, leather, chain and plate together to make a really cool and unique look? The possibilities with this would be incredible, especially since stats would be a complete non-issue.
That's about all I can think of now. I'll probably think of more later and add those to a different post later on.
Tbh i dont understand why almost all MMO's doesnt include CD timers on hotbar icons, that should be one of the basic things in these kind of games. Playing guessing game when i can use cooldowns again is pretty irritating in a heat of battle, as that "spinny thing" doesn't tell me at all how many seconds there are left before i can use it again.
Can't count how many times i spammed defensive CD's while cursing "why you no cast?" just to see there was still few grey pixel lines left before it was ready again even tho it already looked like it was ready to use.
Atleast give us option to enable/disable that feature as it will make life alot easier specially for tanks.

I don't know if my assumptions are correct, but I'll go out and say it probably has something to do with PS3 limitations. The game actually used to be a persistent world with no loading zones except when you were entering/leaving cities or the market ward (which used to be a separate area completely). They changed it. I can't remember why, but I think it reduced the lag and allowed them to improve the graphics.
Therefore I have my doubts that we would ever go back to open world. Which is a shame, really. A segmented world feels a lot smaller than it actually is.
Option to skip cutscene if you made a character before on character creation.
