    circle kiting monsters

I had a discussion with a friend of mine last night about this. I felt that circle kiting certain monsters resulted in mitigating a lot of damage. He felt that this was not true.

I just wanted more opinions on this.

One type of monster that I found this worked especially well for was air and water sprites.

Also, I wonder if running in and out of attack range while your cool downs are charging might help mitigate even more damage?

Circle Kiting can, if done right, mitigate ALL damage from any monster without a ranged attack. I've stopped doing it because it's kind of cheap, and well, makes me dizzy, heh.

It's absolutely a viable strategy in this and many other games. Kiting seems particularly easy in this one though, especially given that everyone has sprint. I've only found one instance where it was something that we useful though. It's not something you really need to do for your average mobs.

Circle kiting is extremely helpful. Though I would argue that the only time you really need to do this is during instance boss fights. In fact for many of them kiting is the only strategy to win.
