Cutter's Cry First Boss

Anyone have any tips on how to beat this guy? I assume the adds keep coming so is this just as simple as a dps/burn fight?

Adds > marshall > boss
When marshall and adds spawn, just kill weak adds and focus marshall, and when marshall is dead just kill adds (soldiers are quite weak so its quite easy kill them with aoe spells same time when damaging marshall) and then again go for the boss.
Do this and boss should be dead after a while.

Tip. if you have black mage in your party, tell him to use limit break on the first wave of adds or any soldier wave, so you can focus marshall faster.

Its a DPS check. If you have bad dps, the adds will overwelm you and theres no way to win. Simply get better gear or improve rotations

AoE DPS helps a lot on the first boss and proper rounding them up so they aren't running all over. I really enjoy the first boss it is a lot of fun as a DPS. One of the bigger adds also casts a heal, make sure to stun it if possible, as well.

The same as Brayflox is a Tank check. Bad tanks who just sit and not move out of poison.

A really easy way is to have the healer kite all the adds except Marshall and Princess. As a white mage, I spam regen on all party members and run in circles. Tank and dps just kill Marshall and Princess. This makes the boss fight the easiest in the dungeon.

Healer kite doesn't seem to work with a Warrior tank. Healer's attention on WAR tank wavered for a second and the WAR got downed.

I always typed
"small > medium > Marshall(most focus) > boss."
"Focus boss after marshall is dead unless healer has adds on them."
Only failed once in about 20 runs, then again i was drg so idk.

On one run tank even dc'ed and we did it as Drg, Whm, Blm.
