Character level requirement while posting

When attempting to submit a post, I received an error that my class level was not high enough. In order to post, I had to change my profile settings so that my designated "main class" level was high enough (in my case, I changed from ARC10 to LNC50).

Suggested fix:
Please make it so that the forum detects the maximum level of a player's classes rather than using the level of the class that the players declares as their main class in settings. Also, please make it so that the required level for posting is displayed along with the error.

Also, Legacy players should not be affected by this restriction. I joined in 2012 and posted 22 posts before the new lodestone - I'm still having to suck it because my character's level is too low.

What level do you have to be to post on the other forums? I've seen others lower than myself post in areas where I will get a message that I am too low if I try to reply.

I really don't understand this system. Why does it matter what your in-game level is? And why is the post limit so low? Sometimes I can only get one in a day before I'm cut off.

Why not just do the 15 minute cooldown like on the beta forums?

I'm also having the issue it's rather confusing... Trying to get some recruiting done for my Free Company as well as my Link Shell that I have going on.
