Pre-launch. 6 EU servers. All full and having issues getting into them, serious serious issues. There is que's, there is straight up denials of entry. There is players not getting in for 24-48 hrs.

Launch day. and EU got how many servers? 6 servers.

Now I am certain that those not getting into play are pissed.

#1 reason. This is now PAID time they are not getting to play on, it is no longer free. We paid for this.

#2 reason. cause pre-launch could have been stress testing and a way for you to learn to add more servers. when you have not done so for the launch that just shows you do not care about the EU players.

#3 reason. You wanna make a good impression. You failed. Not having enough server capacity even after you been shown there is a lot if player interest shows that you have bad server management and you do not act quickly enough.

Some may claim that SE has lived up to its agreement by the fact that ppl can play on JP or NA servers.
Those ppl can go in to those servers and play, and when there is a 200MS ping and your at the end boss of some dungon and trying to get it done and it lags.
remember that SE has fulfilled its agreement, you said it so yourself.

There is no such thing as an EU server. There are NA/EU servers, all of which are located somewhere in North America/Canada (Montreal apparently).

Now, a handful of these are "Recommended" for EU players, but they still fall under the NA/EU bracket. Hence all the log in restrictions and constant maintenance.

I'm pissed off myself that:

A: I can't play with my friends because they happen to be on Excalibur and started playing earlier than I did. (I have work and college, when I'm able to play is restricted)

B: Some of the other forum groups where I can't perhaps vent about it are level locked.

C: There is no direct way to contact a support agent or lodge a complaint except a feedback/e-mail form that is not guaranteed to be read.

D: This just seems like a stupid way to handle a launch, yea you are going max out on your servers that happens with every MMO launch, then a few weeks later the servers aren't going be flooded anymore and a normal game pop will start to set up. The number of servers seem okay, just implement a queuing system like every other MMO.

This has left a bad taste in my mouth, I don't mind queues for playing on a high pop server I just want to play with my friends that I have known for years in another MMO.

With the combined server group located in NA somewhere then letancy is going to be a major factor for EU players. but again...does SE care?

I am gonna do something underhanded. since I do work I can't play until late night.
So what I am gonna do is I am going to get a character in and then not log out, ill just stand afk like so many others. hours and hours of afk.

i am trying to be as patient as possible...
But this is a huge fail by ANY mmo standards.

if SE doesn't realize that the biggest part of an MMO is being able to play with your friends...then they need to go back to single player games.

Right now my entire group of friends is forced to all play on different servers....
IF they can even access the game all together.

The fact they took out the qeue system and are forcing people to spam ping an already overloaded server makes me wonder if they know how to run a mmo at all.

V2 was supposed to be a better launch. right now i'm rapidly losing all faith in Square Enix...
Sad about it more then i am angry. Because the game is actually a solid game. its a real shame i can't play it...

I like the thought of a virtual sit-in. Just need a large amount of people to do it. Do the beginning quest line (so everyone will be phased and visible) and all just stand around in the adventurer's guild, moving once every so often to not trigger an auto de-logger.

I agree with you on this subject.I have rolled on ODIN server with several friends and we have all encountered problems with "whatever" error codes.Today on launch day,i waited until midday to log.I thought this would be a quite balanced time to log (time differences ectect) but after 2 hours,i started to get error codes and now I get server is full code.I understand that you limit the server capacity BUT it its stopping loyal people from playing,i love your game and im new to FF series,but these problems need serious,fast action solving or your going to lose old and new players.You also need to seriously address the AFK issue,which im sure adds to full servers,i have seen people standing in waking sands for over 2 hours in the same spot!!you need a log out for characters that have not moved for say half an hour,maybe this would help.
