playing with friends and transfers

Has there been any word on when/if transfers will be offered? I currently have numerous friends all spread out due to the chaos of obt4 and ea and now I'm trying to get a plan of action together for the flood of friends joining now that the game is launched. I want to tell all my friends with characters already to just play their chars and ill give our new friends a server that's allowing new characters and then we all will just transfer later. But idk what route to take with this...what are others doing who are experiencing this issue?

The service for transferring characters to a different server is scheduled to start in mid-September (about 2 weeks from now).

I see...I never thought it'd be so hard to get all my friends on one server. Also with me being legacy who knows how much harder this is gonna be.

I would just recommend people enjoy the game and story as if its a single player game, maybe get a class to 50, or just focus on enjoying and learning the game. then use the transfer to meet with friends and see what you can bring to the table. maybe even start a free company together

If he's new just tell him to join a different server. Who knows when they'll open back up

I sure wish there was some kind of world pass or friend code or whatever to help get people who know people on a world onto that world while locking out all the randoms. I know a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 35 people this affects for me personally. Help, SE!
