Which PS3 client to use? Also, Trophies

I have the physical copy of the game, the EA client, and now I'm downloading another 6GB client from the voucher code. Which one is the one I will need to use?

Also, when will the trophies appear in the list? I started the game up through the disc and they haven't appeared.

I believe the EA client is the release client. You don't need to redownload it, just needed to use the code to register the account. you can cancel the other download.
