    Billing Update Issues - Error Code 601

    I am trying to update my credit card info as it expires this month, but I receive this error.


    An error has occurred..
    Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again.
    As repeated registration failure can lead to restrictions being placed on your account, we strongly recommend that you contact the Square Enix Support Center for guidance before attempting to register a Credit/Debit card again.
    If you are registering a payment method with a payment service provider, please contact them directly.
    (Error code: 601)

    The problem is, I will soon be 10 hours behind PST and unable to contact Square-Enix for support. I've filed tickets, but I am more concerned this is related to the differences in my billing address and the card I am using. I have tried to buy Crysta as well and experience similar issues. The problem is, SE does NOT support APO addresses, and therefore if this is the problem, how does it get solved? We were told through customer service when we moved to leave our billing address as is, but we have 2 service accounts that will experience the same issue if this is indeed the problem.

    I don't know if this is a known issue as I was unable to find anything on it. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated; or if anyone knows any additional information on this it would help a ton! I'd really like to continue to pay for what you've created

    I'm having the exact same issue, any help would be greatly appreciated. Opened a support ticket, but still no response (other then the email saying to received it).

    Hi, i have same problem here. I've opened 2-3 tickets about this error but still no responses. The owner of credit/debit card, in this case 'visa electron' is my brother, but there are no differences in my billing address and the card i am using, it's the same. But i don't think the problem is that because i am paying wow and itunes since years with that. Now remaining 12 days my free period time ends and i wouldn't like to buy prepaid card to continue to play. Also i've read news from SE that if you don't register payment method within free time ends they are going to delete your ID. Sounds like a crazy thing! Maybe the problem is related that the card is empty? Maybe first time they check it and obviously the card need at least 1-2€ on? Anyway sorry for my english, i am italian.

    Same problem when trying to set up a sub. I submitted a ticket 2 days ago but I've gotten no response as of yet.

    Same problem here, and here is a link to the other thread about this problem: Error 401 and Error 601

    Haven't been able to get in contact with SE and those that have received a "we can't do anything" response.
