Yeah, how hard its to let us use the Code we bought to upgrade!? EE has the most retarded account management system i've seen in mmos. the "UPGRADE TO COLLECTORS EDITION" should have a option to input the key or pay the thing. >so angry right now!
I got my pre-ordered my CE from Amazon, i got my Game code prob is using it to upgrade my account to collectors , because it displays as Standard edition. ( i have a v 1.0 account )I got The Digital Version of Ce and had to use the old Order confirmation e-mail to get my code. www.findmyorder.com. it asked for for your order Number and Password i assumed correctly that the pasword was my SE service account password. Then i got To the page that gave me an unlock code And a Serial Number for CE. When to mog Station site And click on add Windows Service (not to be confused with add New service account). then it asked me for The Code which i used the serial number code Previously mentioned.
P.S. for people with Digital version i do not think SE are sending e-mails for the Ce Code
yes you cannot use a CE code to upgrade from SE to CE, unless you get it by clicking "Upgrade to CE", and that is just stupid in my opinion, didnt they think collectors might buy the CE edition because the wanted the stuff along with the perks, even if they have a standard 1.0?
its a silly thing not to think about!
Exactly! It's so frustrating b/c I really debated whether or not early access/moogle hat/pet were worth it, and you know what I decided? That it wouldn't be a waste of money to support Final Fantasy some more by going ahead and buying the CE pre-order. Of course after barely getting to play during early access due to server problems/instances being down all I have to show for it is a moogle hat and pet and a code I can't use. I could have just bought the standard edition pre-order for that!
I'm amazed this problem was unanticipated as a lot of us are devoted Final Fantasy fans and didn't mind spending money on the CE despite having 1.0.
agreed i do find it amazing nobody thought of it, and not everyone got to read the sticky before buying, it doesnt make it our fault and to be honest they should offer a REAL solution for those in our situation.Exactly! id happily hand them over my CE code in return for an account upgrade, i have no issues paying a monthly fee for the game, but i at least want what i paid for or a full refund!
