1.0 Players Please Read!!!

For those 1.0 players who bought a pc copy of ARR thinking that's what they needed to do to get 30 days and preorder items. It wasn't, and the pc code you got is not going to work when trying to add it to your 1.0 account.

They told us all a month ago that 1.0 would not be able to register another pc code. But seeing as so many people bought them anyways because
A) They never saw this entirely misplaced post
B) They forgot about it and SE never reminded people or put it up on the store page like they should have.

My suggestion is to either get a refund, sell the new code to a friend (you were still able to use preorder codes and EA codes, just not the acutal game code), or contact SE support about the issue. If enough people tell SE about what happened maybe they will change the way the account works and let you use the code, even though the only thing it would add is 30 days.

Also, for those who had 1.0 (not 1.0 CE) but bought CE of ARR because they wanted the digital CE stuff, you also messed up. 1.0 players were supposed to use the upgrade feature on mogstation. Dumb as hell but that's how it works. My suggestion is the same as above.

They could have said something. Geez, for how good the game is, I can't believe how utterly incompetent the infrastructure and people handling it are.

It REALLY would of been nice for this to be a sticky or something. I bought a CE edition for $49 only to release after I got it from Amazon that I couldn't register it. Now I'm out $49 AND I don't have the CE items. Not that it matters I suppose because I can't log in at all (world is full, blah blah).

Honestly this entire experience is making me not want to play the game at all. I just want a refund.

I actually registered the code to my 1.0 account. I got early access and the preorder items, but not the 30 days game time. Also, I think it combined both my previous 1.0 CE game and the new digital CE version that I bought. I was under the impression that if I added another code to my account, that I could log into the account on multiple PCs. Is this not correct? I attempted to contact SE about this back in phase 3 of beta and never received a reply.

If you didn't get the 30 days time then you likely didn't get the code applied correctly. The preorder codes and EA codes would have worked fine, the registration code not so much. 1.0 CE buyers were automaticall upgraded as ARR CE owners, so that's why you have the new CE stuff.

And yes, you need to make a new service account to log into the same "SE account" at the same time. However as these two service accounts both require subscriptions and both have their own character pools it's no different from just having a "parent" account to hold two "child" accounts.

I'm not sure what all this means... So can I still use my registration code to create a second account? What is the difference between a service account and an SE account? Basically can me and my wife still both play? Or am I screwed?
