UI position isn't saved if you move it too close to the edge of the screen

I am playing on PS3 in 480p but I'm pretty sure this bug would also occur in 720p.

The position of the UI elements (chatbox included) is not saved and loaded properly upon starting the game if you move them too close to the edge of the screen. After adjusting the position and saving the settings, they appear fine, but upon logging back in game, they will revert to a position closer to the center of the screen, leaving a 1 inch or so gap of empty space all around the screen. So I either have to manually adjust the position of each UI element upon each login or I have to deal with a 1 inch portion of empty wasted space all around the screen.

Could this please be fixed so that the UI elements' position (including the chatbox) are saved properly no matter how close you position them to the edge of the screen?

It might not even be possible to fix it on 480p... Not enough horizontal pixels. Comparing 480 pixels to 1080, (not sure on horizontal, but it's a big difference).

The issue has to do with interlacing, scaling, and overscan. Sounds like when you move it to close to the edge the game things it's off screen and defaults it back onto the screen. Might have just run out of space.

No offense though, 480p is dead tech.... You should really upgrade to 1080p... Unless you have some HUGE 60" 480p Big Screen TV I see no reason why you wouldn't upgrade. You can pick up a 40" 1080p t.v. now days for less than $400...

PS3 version is actually only in 720p mode.

Well, no offense, but of course it should be fixable. The screen looks perfect once I'm done with my adjustments, the problem is just that the UI position just doesn't get loaded back properly upon logging in again. If the issue was really the game "thinking" that my UI position was outside of the screen limit, that would be extremely easy to fix by the user with the "return to default" option in the UI setup, so it shouldn't have to inconvenience the rest of the players who just want to optimize their screen's real estate. For the record, my TV already has a decent amount of overscan, so if I have a 1 inch empty gap all around the screen as is, I shudder to think what it would look like on a similar TV with 0 or barely any overscan. I am very glad that SE is fully supporting 480p in this game, and I just want to report on a bug that their test team might have overlooked. Spending money to change my TV is not really a fix to this bug...

I have posted this on the original ARR:beta forums in the last 48h before it went offline, and it was transferred into the "accepted bugs" forum category, however since the forums went down only a few hours after, I'm not sure if those bugs are still tracked or not and I thought I would err on the safe side by posting it again on the full release forums.

Sure thing, this is right after saving the settings:

And this is after logging out of the game and reentering:

Notice especially the position of the chatbox and the experience bar which becomes squished into the HP/MP/TP bar. It is affecting every single element though, which is why I took a pic of the GUI setup screen so you can see all the boxes.
The chatbox is the most wild out of all the elements, it will reposition itself several times login after login and end up very far from the original position.

This last picture is after logging out once more and entering the game a 2nd time, notice how the chat box has moved even further towards the right.

Please fix this issue as this is very tiresome to reposition everything every time I log onto the game. Thank you.
