    V1.0 > ARR CE Help!!!

    Hi All,

    Quick question if i may, I had a V1.0 (Standard) account and pre-purchased the FFXIV ARR CE on PC to obtain those nice CE shinies.

    The pre-order code worked fine and now my toon has the Garland Goggles, Mog Cap & Cait Sith Doll.

    I have now received my CE code from GMG & tried to redeem this against my account & am being told this is an invalid code, is there any reason this doesn't just upgrade my standard account to a CE one?

    I appreciate there is a purchase option via Mogstation, but I wasn't aware of this until well after I had pre-purchased the ARR CE.

    I don't really want to buy anything else, money is tight, only redeem what I have already paid for.

    Please help!!

    Did you buy the regular CE or the upgrade CE. If you got the regular, you won't be able to apply it to your already existing account unless you bought it for the PS3.

    I bought the regular CE, I wasn't aware there would be an upgrade CE until just before launch, I find this a little baffling, does it matter if it is PS3 or PC, If I have paid the monies for a new key?

    Is there any way to trade a PC CE key for a PS3 CE key?

    I cannot imagine I am the only person who made this mistake.

    I did the same mistake. I didn't know I wouldn't be able to link it to my account. That sucks ass.

    You are not the only person who made this mistake, contact SE and see if they can help you. If enough people contact them maybe they will allow you to use a pc code on top of a 1.0 account.

    Same mistake here. I don't even want to try to sit in the ridiculous support queues and deal with their brainless support staff. It's easier for me just to cough up another $20 and give the CE away to a friend.

    That would certainly be the easiest way, but at least sending in a ticket gets more attention form SE that this is a problem.

    Hell, even if support verifies your legitimate, unused key and applies the CE rewards to your account.

    It's possible they may do something like this, but given the existing server issues and the fact that a massive wave of people are going to be logging on the first time today, they might just not have the resources to fulfill the CE support requests right away, so they're outright rejecting them until an announcement can be made. To be fair, aside from the helm, the CE rewards are largely cosmetic and not overly important (though I understand that of course, people want the stuff they paid for).
