Performance stuttering

I am playing on PC with AMD Phenom II X6 1055T processor and AMD6950 graphics card. I have 8 gb of ram and SSD.

However, the game lags every 2 seconds. It doesn't always do this, but sometimes I log in and it is just lagging every 2 seconds. Even if it doesnt do this right away, it will sometimes just start after playing for a while.

I also have the bug that others experience, that sometimes it goes down to 1-2 fps and then crashes to desktop. Especially when changing to a new zone.

It is horribly unstable for me and I can barely play due to crashes/poor performance most times I log in.

Oh yeah, scored just around 7000 on the benchmark using "high desktop" settings. And the benchmark didn't stutter at all. Seems to be weird resource loading bugs maybe.

Same here. I'm using x2 6850's and scored around 5000 on the Max benchmark.

I can barely run the game on Low settings.

AMD cards have issues with FFXIV. All the nvidia cards smoked AMD on the benchmark. I would suspect the issue is because Nvidia Cards have physx processors and amd cards to not. Might explain some unstable ness. Sounds like when not on physx is where the instability is coming from.

I strongly doubt that. There is (almost) no physic simulation in this game. I think maybe the hair for some characters, but that's it. Also, they wouldn't implement something which required specific hardware to run in an MMORPG.
