I agree. There should be "Easy","Normal" and "Hardcore" servers. A lot of regular games have these modes, so why not do it for mmorpgs.

    try playing lost choas...

And all servers end up the same tbh even if they have different rule sets take WoW or dcuo for example
DCUO got pvp and pve servers but both servers have hardcore pvp players so there is really no difference there

WoW has pvp, pve, rp, rp-pvp and tornament servers I played on a few of them and honestly there is no difference rp servers have little to no rp, pvp and pve and rp-pvp have hardcore pvp'ers so again no difference.

So you can have different rule sets all you want but unless enforeced (no one does) there really no difference anyway.

Also each server will have small player bases.

Because it creates unnecessary workload for the developers? You people clearly have no idea how much work development is.

why do people play that is beyond me. lol.

Also i neither for or against servers being seperated. I know it is possible to have serperate rule sets and difficaulties....
I was more saying in the end it may not matter as most mmo don't enforce the rules.

there really is no call for being rude to me.

Yes it's really hard to make add a few variables that make mobs have less/more health, hit weaker/harder, have lower/higher resistances.

On easy mode servers you could have mobs die "fast" as the coblyns used to do.
On normal mode could be a decent challenge to kill.
Hardcore mode could be FFXI old style where you could need parties to actually kill something.

I'm not saying make different games on different servers. Just different difficulties.

Yes and adding this doesnt destroy any sense of balance the game has *rolls eyes*
