Any SMN able to equip CNJ abilities?

I didn't start leveling my CNJ until SMN was already 37. I wanted to add Aero to my kit, so I leveled CNJ up. Once I switched back to SMN I wasn't able to choose CNJ under the additional tab...

With ARC I can, and under the ability Aero it lists SMN as one of the classes able to use it. Anyone else having the same issue?

You can't. Once you pick a job like Summoner you can pull from THM and Scholar pulls from CNJ.

But than why list summoner under Aero at all, and I can pull Raging Strikes from Archer

Yeah, I think they mislabeled aero (and I was under the impression that SMN used conjurer skills because of aero's tooltip for a while). As for which classes SMN can pull from, it's thaumaturge and, grouping us in the same boat as BLM, we get archer abilities as well. Scholar can pull from conjurer and thaumaturge, which I find bogus lol.

But honestly, cure and raise--we have natural equivalents of these. Aero, protect, and stoneskin are nice; but there aren't many tools from the conjurer kit that are useful to summoners. In a group setting, aero would have been the only good addition since these other two spells are more potent when cast by your WHM--or they would have most likely been covered by your SCH already. Raging strikes and Quelling strikes, on the other hand, are huge boons to our damage dealing capabilities. I'm not sure if Hawk's Eye is effective for us though.

Can you use raging strikes and quelling strikes as a summoner?

Yes, it is as I said in my previous post. This is because summoner can pull from both archer and thaumaturge for cross class abilities. I have been using Raging Strikes with my summoner, and one can see on the tooltip for Quelling Strikes that SMN can use it as well. I hope that clears things up!

both have SMN tagged on them. So its looking likely that you can. Seeing as BLM also has access to Archer's skills, it doesn't seem quite as strange as at first glance.
