Archanist Level 30 Class Quest

Does anyone have any pointers for how they beat this fight? It is the level 30 class quest that takes place on the big boat off of Costa Del Sol.

I am currently at work and I only had one chance last night, as it was late and I needed to get to bed. I ended up getting my butt kicked with topaz carbuncle. So while I am waiting impatiently for the work day to be over, I would like to know if anyone can tell me what they did in the fight.

What I did was summon tank carby, stay in that circle thing. It gives you a defensive buff. I didn't attack nor let carby attack and let the NPC get most of the agro. Then slowly taking down one at a time. Healing carby as he took damage. Btw, If you didn't do this already, level up an archer to lvl 4 (takes 5 minutes). You get a skill called...I forgot the name but it gives you 20% more damage for 20 seconds. I didn't have it in this fight but might be worth it. Pop it, dot up a mob with bio, bio 2, and miasma then use bane...should be good DPS.

Raging strikes. Worth it for everyone leveling up for sure

I killed the magic users first since they were healing the other guys. Then I just picked them off one by one while my Topaz was tanking and the NPC was killing them. Making sure I healed both of them when I had the chance ^^.

This one's definitely a tough fight. The job-changes are ridiculously easy in comparison.
I had to upgrade my gear ( bought the lv 26 Grand Company set) and tossed a good food buff before the fight + Protes.

The thing is to keep the close ranged damage dealers to your Topaz and you have to focus on the Mages and the Archers first. Use Sustain to heal the pet if needed.

About Summoner, he gets the skills from THM and ARC. So you probably want to level those 2 classes as well.
Scholar gets CNJ and THM skills.
