I get random runtime errors, as well as this weird bug that ends up messing with my gpu. I notice the temperature slowly rising 1 degree while I get a massive drop in frames and GPU load bounces around random percentages....I fix it by teleporting out of the area. Ive noticed it most in the shroud areas and thanalan. For me it seemed to be the weather that was triggering these gpu "seizures". I could be wrong. Ive seen it happen on a live stream as well. Im using a GTX 760 i5 2300.
If it is crashing your pc, its probably running too hot, if its crashing to desktop, then its probably drivers.
Also experiencing random crashes (luckily not too frequent) where the system locks up completely (have to do a hard shutdown). Don't experience any artifacts or slowdowns ingame though, the system just locks up (seemingly at random). My system: Windows 8 Pro; Intel Core i7 950; MSI GTX 760. Tried various versions of the NVidia drivers, but no luck so far.
Stopped experiencing any crashes after downloading the game again with the new client, makes me think there are some bugs with some files from the beta clients that were simply updated to the live version.
also for amd (like myself) make sure you download and use the amd ccc 13.8 beta 2 drivers from their official home page, i have noticed a high framerate in general when using them.
Using beta drivers.. My computer most def is not over heating or should not be. Everything is water cooled
Try new drivers or get a better card, it's not really SE's fault.
Get rid of your piece of crap video card and buy an Nvidia. They do a much better job at gaming support than ATI does. Most games work with them closely and their devs to better support the games. They've always worked better than ATI in my experience. Very few games do not support Nvidia cards from the get go.
What card are you even running? I'm running a 7950 with no problems thus far.
Running two 5770's with beta 13.8 v2 and no problems so far, what card are you using op, for all we know you could be using something from the 1990's.
AMD has been putting out great drivers for the last year now, you're stuck in a time warp.Get rid of your piece of crap video card and buy an Nvidia.
