I don't want people transferring to my server because it wqas created after the intial launch.
I dont wan't a million lvl 50s running around when they werent here with the server to grind for it.. Ruining the economy and such.
Transfers to all the other servers that were available at launch? fine.
Because no non-legacy server has a million lvl 50s around and an abundance of things in the economy...I don't want people transferring to my server because it wqas created after the intial launch.

i posted my thoughts on this issue in some other buried thread and while this
is good news for a large player base my disappointment on this matter has not
changed. i am sure i am not alone here in that i am part of a large ff11 community
who were very eager and excited to make the transition to ff14 upon release.
congestion issues were absolutely expected and honestly were not a real concern
as i knew SE would resolve those problems as quickly as they could. the problem
is the fact that the community i was to be a part of were all split up across servers
in JP, EU, and NA. some of us have been playing solo while others were lucky to
at least be with 1 or 2 friends. because of this, the experience of learning the game
with our friends, leveling, doing dungeons as a group, and progression during these
early levels has been ruined. this is not going to be fixed with an apology and an
assurance that world transfers will now begin somewhere in early october.
Bump agree and posted similar myself
I hate to be negative but I just think it's ridiculous that everyone that started from launch will have had to pay at least 1 month of game time in order for the opportunity to transfer to play with friends.

I didn't see this before and wanted to point out how much I agree with this. Just so you know it's a lot.

Well, a transfer of an established character shouldn't add to new character area congestion. But in a similar issue, the ARR world transfer news item does say: "Due to fluctuations in World populations, certain Worlds may not be available for transfer." Consider a worst case: thousands want to transfer to Hyperion or another of the most-full worlds. Impossible situation.
October is also when Yoshida mentioned they would start adding new worlds. I wonder if it's related. Like in FFXI, SE let people apply to transfer to new worlds for free when they opened new worlds, and that would probably relieve some pressure on currently over-full worlds. Last week Yoshi-P posted that he plans to address a lot of questions and complications of world transfers players may have in another post before transfers become available.
What they should do is take a poll ahead of time to get an idea of where people are going. So then they could project future populations for each world.
All I want is to be able to consolidate my characters onto 1 or 2 worlds. Like most people I managed to squeak in a charcter here or there when the login issues were going on.
I saw this
This is an optional paid service that allows characters from active service accounts for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn to be transferred to a World of your chooosing.
* Due to fluctuations in World populations, certain Worlds may not be available for transfer.
* World transfer service is scheduled to begin mid-September.
So we will have to pay more money to transfer to our friends, even after we were locked out in the first place? this is pretty low to do to your customers?
